i was quite dissapointed with the nail rocks when i applied them, they only lasted 2 days, and i applied a top coat. i applied the seche vite topcoat however so im wondering if the shrinkage at the tip of the nail caused them to only last that long- interested to see if you get better results!

I looked yesterday at the uv lamp you mentioned by the seller you mentioned and it was £10 like you said and I went back today to buy and now they have put it up to £100! Lol love your vids!! Xxx

@SophieChappers You're right. You dont need to wear an SPF at all when using a regular UV lamp-- the lamp isnt stong enough to cause any damange to your skin... or give you cancer or anything! xxx

I know many people watching youtube videos are suspicious of beauty gurus but I really pride myself on being completely honest about products. In the UK I don't have to use an FTC disclaimer to let you guys know what I bought and what was a press sample, but I do, because I want to be 100% honest. I can't prove to anyone that what I say is the truth/my honest opinion, but if you knew how many press releases and samples I receive

The beauty industry views bloggers as press now, and we do receive samples. @SophieChappers Its best to be on the safe side, especially when using a cheap lamp like mine. It emits a small amount of UVA which, chances are is minicscule, but I wear a hand cream with SPF when I put my hands under as I don't want to put myself at any risk of skin cancer whatsoever, or wrinkled hands! x

@gemsmaquillage i think it's just sensible to be safe and wear the spf! I work in a lab and have to use a uv lab quite a lot to look at things and i always wear gloves when i'm using it!

This might sound really stupid, but I hope you consider it :P If that light in the 'contraption' haha is a UV light, put SPF on your hands. Don't forget that light will age your hands quite the number as well!

the best way to use the UV gel is to put a coat first, then use the lamp, afterwards a coat of nail polish and the lamp again, and finally another coat. 3 min is enough
