Interesting. In the grand scheme of things it's not too different from video I captured from my V701 with a DC10+. Of course, part of that is because we are so used to seeing high def. these days that everything else looks second rate.

@BearclawsX Is it an NP1 battery or anton bauer type? Amazing camera. I also have the Panasonic Supercam which is similar yet SVHS.

@skatinghobart I now connect the camera to a DVD recorder and record footage then drop it into Sony Vegas from the DVD.

Hello. I recently acquired a sony evw-300. do you know where i would be able to find an instruction manual for it. i'm not sure if mine is broken or not. it won't eject. i purchased it without the veiwfinder. i didn't think it was required to operate the camera but i could be wrong. any help would be greatly appreciated. i've searched far and wide across the internet and could not find anything on this camera.

That's a very very high quality camcorder! Excellent colours, and really sharp! With a better tape it would be perfect!

Thank you Jonas, although I am a perfectionist I think the quality could be a lot better if I knew there best settings in Sony Vegas to render video.....anybody advise me? :)

It is a nice camera though and quite light for the size it is, which is that same one I showed you on ebay.
