You would need a mic, plus headphones for monitoring I suppose ( and amp and speakers ). A Kaoss pad isn't necessarily the best thing to start with though as it's quite tricky to master. I'd suggest getting a demo of Ableton Live and have a go with that first, and ask around in forums about what equipment is best suited to looping beatbox. Beardyman is, I think, using 2 kaoss pads and a boss loop pedal there which is a fairly pricey set-up all in all . . .
