  • Hi Sister, how long can handvo be stored? thank you...god bless...

  • @asianlite6

    Hi Sis

It stays good for about 2-3 days outside and about 4 days in referigerator...

  • That must be so freakin aromatic with all those spices and herbs. :D

  • Hi bhavna, cronflour should be used for binding? thanx god bless you my sister...

  • @asianlite6

    Hi

Corn flour brings also nice texture and taste as well...

  • Hi bhavna i baked handvo in oven but my till seeds in the center got burnt:( why so? i baked in a round cake tin...at 190C for 40 mins...though it came out crispy the center till seeds got burnt i would like to know why.but it was so yummy hot n spicy for this cold climate....ty...god bless you my sister...

  • @asianlite6

    Hi sister!

Sometimes, oven temperature may vary and you have to know your oven very well. Next time, make sure that you put on center rack little further away from top hot. And you might need to take out before 40 minutes..so just use your own judgement according to end result...good luck!

    Hi

I have never done that before. even if you add salt in oil, it is not going to work. Salt needs to be added in better then only it absorb flavor....

  • after 6 to 7 hours, when you open cover of handvo mix, mouthwatering aroma will come out of it.its also give more taste to your handvo as i apply the same mathod and my husband cant even wait until it coocked.

    againe thanks 4 sharing..keep going..

  • Thanks 4 sharing such a wonderfull handvo recipe Bhavna,

but i think home made handwo mix with different daals will be always delicious rather then ready dry handwo mix.

who so ever want to make handwo mix at home to can follow with this,

1 cup rice, 1/2 cup toor daal, 1/2 moong daal(without its cover), 1/2 cup chana daal and if you want to add then also 1/2 cup udad daal. soak all daals overnight and when you gonna blend it at that time add ginger, garlic and chilly paste so

  • @anshumee1

    Hi

Yes, you can. You already added yogurt anyway, so you certainely can ommit it. As I said already in one of the comment that i actually started adding sour cream just recently. I used to make without it but still Handvo comes out great even without it. Thanx

  • CAN U PLZ TELL ME WHAT IS SANCHAR, WHERE I CAN USE IT AND WHERE CAN I GET IT?

  • @monkeymind09

    Hi

Sanchar can be bought from Indian grocers. It helps to cook food faster and in baking/steaming, it helps to keep food soft as well. So I use for many dry lentils that takes lot of time to boil.
