They were doing a tour of some other asian countries to show off their skills - not sure why.

@henricksen Just like cultural exchange, the military usually has air displays joint exercise etc to show their bond with that country. Indian air force has dedicated display teams for both aircraft and helicopters known as Surya Kiran and Sarangs respectively. They have also visited China and performed for the Chinese audience during the Chinese airshow. They are regular at airshow like Aero India and also visit Europe or other countries for such displays. These planes are flown by expert pilot
