. In 2000 it was possibly the best looking game out there because that's when it was released idiot. The plot is really facinating if you actually understand it but by the sound of it you play games where story is devoid of... well... anything. I defeated the Jabberwock and I never played the orignal Alice because I was 2 when it came out. Yes this is the right way to do a game because back then they actually cared about games. And on that note BEST GAME EVER MADE!

American McGee's Alice is a only pc game released in 2000.

The sequel "Alice Madness Return" will came out in 2011 for X360, PS3 and PC.

@VickyLightning what exactly is the "info about the film"? Burton based his film on the book and he made it a little darker and giving it a new story that's all. American McGee had a completely different interpretation of the story and made it very much his own. just because two things seem similar doesn't mean one has to be based on the other.

This game kind of reminds me of Alice of Human Sacrifice, which is also a kind of twisted version of Alice in Wonderland, except with more "Alices." It tells a very interesting story.

If this game does become a film, I would love to see Guillermo del Toro direct it. I believe he would do an excellent job balancing the fairy tale elements with the horror.

He was not all that accurate either, The String of Pearls was originally set in the late 1700's, not in the Victorian era. It was written in that time period. I can't picture WHERE in the original story anything happened to inspire that... or HOW they want to make it as creepy as the first, but I'm very excited about it...

What I really loved about the game was mainly the charaters, I really love how dark they have turned. Plus, the stages were just plain awsome, nuff said, lol. I am happy that they are making a re-make. I hope it'll be like this but who knows? maybe even better, I am looking forward to it <3

This really is one of the most incredible games with atmosphere. Its up there with The 7th Guest and Bioshock. Creative talent was incredible in the game and in shine in every instance of the game.

When Alice first falls down the Rabbit hole, it is very impressive.

The clips in this video of the game look terrible, you MUST enjoy it at high res. 1600x1200 and all detail maxed and special options checked. The color pallet alone makes your jaw drop.

It is a very LONG & difficult game.

McGee put a lot more work into this now much older game than his other fairy tail release about the Grimm's stories. I was vastly disappointed with that game, but the wonderland game will always be something to treasure.

I never fully realized the horror of this game back when I first played it. Now that I am revisiting the twisted wonderland it is utterly disturbing.
