@mousiehousie13 - I know this video and response was posted a while ago, but I just wanted to say this one thing: just because people are studying psychology does not mean they are near perfect & should know better. As a psychology student myself, I am learning more about how to help other people & it is VERY easy to forget about oneself. There is a burnout risk in this field bc of that. If you've been struggling for a long time, it's habit&part of your lifestyle, you cant just stop it.
ok....the reason they won't admit you if you're "not sick enough" is because treatment is a resource that is reserved for people who need really need it. treatment is expensive and complex to provide, and so only the patients who require inpatient treatment will receive inpatient treatment, ya know? like, put yourself in the shoes of the doctor. oh come on now! you're studying psychology, i'm surprised this doesn't make sense.
@mousiehousie13 anyway so you're the one who has to decide who gets that bed: you? what about someone who just suffered a heart attack from complications related to dehydration? or maybe an eight year old girl, who risks so much more to her physical development and absolutely requires that she receive care while she is so young and it's just a tragedy to see that? think about it.
Wow! You are like I am on Caffeine!! LMAO!!! Figettie and "chatty"!!!
Congrats on doing so well in school! Have you ever been to Belize? It's absolutely GORGEOUS! I loved it there when I was there! Good luck getting the placement that you want and that will serve you the best. xo~a
i would like to hear about your childhood. I as well have a really hard time speaking or even understanding myself and my feelings. It all comes from somewhere...
Beginning with our childhoods... care to share darling ?
prescriptions are extra but usually aren't too costly depending on what they have you on, obviously you would need money for going out and stuff. We were able to go out and go to movies and the mall and stuff but it might be different at ur place. I really hope treatment is a positive experience for you, please dont let other girls influence your individual treatment because it can and dont sell yourself short, you deserve this and you deserve to get better and be happy :)
I know that you are taking your ed seriously. I think it is part of the disease to make it seem like it's not a big deal. eds are all about hiding. Hiding feelings, hiding secrets and stuffing your feelings deep down that you have to use every muscle in your gut to puke it out again. I sometimes act like my ed is not a big deal and joke about it with my friends. But I make sure to not reveal the pain and anguish I feel inside. That is the deceptive nature of the disease. good luck with Tx!
First off, I want to say how awesome it is that you are going into treatment. I know that part of you is scared out of your mind. And being "meh" about it is ok. I do the same thing. It's hard to explain to others what's going on and on top of that, you don't really know how you feel about it yourself. What you show on the outside is completely different than what you hide. It's our secret. I don't think it's a bad thing. It is, like you said, a coping thing.
thank you! I totally appreciate that. I am beyond scared to go to treatment but really, I am so tired and worn out and I know that I need help. my body and my mind are like, done. I just want to go out to eat and order what "sounds good" or just have one hour of my day when I'm not thinking about food or cals or fat or my appearance. even if I never become 100% recovered... I just cannot stay like this. I am 24! I have to move on, and move forward! <3
Everybody who watches your videos is going to be holding your hand as you go... We all want this for you. <3 I can't wait to see you're "I'm Recovered!" video!
