I have a question. My electric water heater (and thank God I have a conventional one-it works great and has "smart set" which makes it very efficient) was purchased May 2003. The outside of my water heater feels cool - I believe it already has built in insulation. Should I still insulate it on the outside? Thanks.

@WinterHaven i would it will still save you money and all hot water heaters have insulate in them
