@SuperACDCfan4ever You haven't looked at what these things cost before this came around I'm guessing. A cheap one was around 20 grand, and skyrocketed from there.
For what it does I think the price is good (at least relative to everything else on the market right now) what puts me off is the having to wait 2 months!
I'm a mechanical engineer and I build cars in my spare time, I've really wanted to jump into the 3D printing realm for a long time now but I'm afraid that the applications I want to use it for are beyond the capabilities of devices like this. Primarily I want to build replacement electrical connectors housings for classic cars, in a lot of instances these can be impossible to find, I can build the 3D model but I'm afraid that the printing wont be accurate enough for my housings to mate properly.
For every person you refer to join the website, you get 1 dollar at the end. I have referred 57 people, so I will be getting $57 soon. I have already made $108. Please sign up! its free and it will help me and u a lot!
@slimjim88 I thought that was obvious re-purpses an old boiler in the husk of a building from before the world ending even into a steam powered turbine to generate electricity... if you know how to make a generator anyways
If i could download some doritos and be able to eat it i would buy it in a heartbeat <3. That's what i thought it did at first actually but its still pretty cool.
The only thing left to do now is to make it smaller, have an unlimited plastic supply and somehow hoow it up with the human body, and ofcourse make it so it can make actual mechanisms.
I know a thing or two about 3ds Max and I have a few ideas of stuff I'd like to print (Mainly a model of my dog) but this thing is $2000 retail. Oh well, maybe one day.
It is a nice print, there. Whats the deal with getting a smooth finish on objects?
I mean, can you bog it up and sand it back easily? Cause, you can in my mind. You see, I'm WAY exited about this because i shall own mine in perhaps 10-12 weeks.
My techy friend has been pressing me to get one and start printing out some cases for all manner of handheld devices he's designing since I showed him the reprap vids years ago.
The only thing is he's a bit skeptic about the ridges from the extrusion.
Machine is not intended for general uses. Most people likely to buy this machine is one who do CAD/3D design related stuff. I can see how useful and how awesome it is to be able to print my own design in real time. However I'd like to see it print more complex figurine with fine details.
@tredeponline This machine IS intended for general use. It's easy to use with ZERO knowledge of CAD/3D design! Just go to thingiverse and download 1 of over 15,000 objects for free!
@kindlink He normally wears regular glasses, but when he's making these videos, he wears lensless ones so there wouldn't be so much lighting glare, as you can see it reflecting from his frames.
The one thing I'm not really sure about is the spool. I know some other 3D printers use a cartridge instead of the spool and I think that is a better setup. It's still pretty nice though considering the price.

Homer3864 4 weeks ago
@MsGreenVoice It doesn't destroy/create matter, it works like a hot glue gun. It melts the ABS (LEGO plastic) and squirts it out.
Ender231 1 month ago
That is fake! hey dude do you have faith in the principle of mass/matter conservation!
I really believe that saying !:
" mass cannot be created or destroyed, although it may be rearranged in space and changed into different types of particles "
