  • Absolutely gorgeous...even the masonic squares...lol.....anyway, thanks for showing ...nothing like this in the colonies.....

  • I found you video today and it brought back some great memories to me. It so happens that I worked in Ye old Pump House and the pup oppisite , The Anchor Inn, when Brian and Hilda Richardson had it many years ago. It was a wonderful time. I was in the Anchor when I was married to my wife, Mandy. Now i'm talking about 36 years ago, lol. Do you know them from back then or were you too young?? lol. Thanks for the memories Maybrick44. By the way, my name is John Robertson.

  • Hi I just discovered your videos this weekend. My mother lived in the house that you featured 34 Court Street. She lived there 60 years ago and it used to be 2 houses that are now one. It was a Bed and Breakfast then run by my Grandmother called Dun Roming. We were thrilled to see the streets my mom grew up on....we have photos of them standing in front of the house. So exciting!!!! I hope to travel there this year to see in Hastings in person. Good Job!!!!

  • Wow.. beautiful place!

  • Hastings is wonderful and has heaps of character. However the Pumphouse Pub was built in the 1970s, I know this because my neighbour Reg who is a fisherman in the Old Town, his mate Arthur woked on the construction. If you look carefully at the architecture, the windows don't match and the fireplaces are not in keeping with any of the building or the 17th century. The Stag in All Saints Street is old and original.

  • What a nice video and voice-over. I was brought up just two doors down from the house on Croft Road you mentioned. I have so many childhood memories of playing in this area.

  • You are right, that is the house. I'm a real fan of Foyle's War so thanks for showing me the house and some of Hastings. I was born there 53 years ago but now live in Sydney. Love the seagulls as a constant soundtrack ; )

  • I am enjoying your videos here in Cincinnati Ohio.

  • This is wonderful! I stumbled on this whilst re-watching my husband's music video George Street, but now I'm going to watch your whole series! Hope you don't mind if I share these with my Facebook friends. I love living in Hastings, and this is such a beautiful depiction of my wonderful town! :)

  • Good man...eating take away haddock and chips, sitting on the pebbles watching the waves, priceless....good man, thank you.

  • Hi o4... Was it! HA HA I told you there were a few 'murrayisms' in my commentaries didn't I? What I actually meant anyhow was that the BUILDING was very old, but, typical with me, I didn't actually say that did I! HA HA Keep your ears peeled for further mistakes o4! All the best.

  • Maybrick 44 I hate to tell you this BUT YE OLDE PUMP HOUSE was a shoe shop till the 1960's !!!

  • very nice video and what a sexy voice. KC

  • Look crowded, but enjoy viewing and the commentary. I love Foyle's War, by the way, and wish the series would continue after the WW II time frame. Thanks for posting.
