I think Jozéf Hoffman would have admired this playing. JP has alot in common with JH, I mean technical skill at the service of great interpretative and expressive power - just listen to Plowright's live playing of Mussorgsky Pictures, or Rummel's Bach cantata no. 127, on BBC In Tune about a week ago - i think it is still there on podcast.
Looks like from same recital as Stojowski Melodie video, so Warsaw 2006. This pianist Jonathan Plowright is playing in Wigmore Hall London soon, Nov.15th., but not Polish repertoire on programme
Really impressive, and a couple of very good ideas! Sounds a bit too much like a movie soundtrack version of Bartok meets Liszt, however...

Very nice piece wonderfully played by Jonathan Plowright but no so oriental in my sens. This is definitively a polish romantic song !

This is excellent. Where and when did this performance take place?
