ok, here's the real deal. The group asked to come visit the campus, they were not completely declined, they were allowed to come, but not to campaign on campus grounds (which is understandable because it is a christian university and homosexuality is against school policy.) They agreed to those terms. They knew they would get arrested by going in the chapel because it is on campus. And I think they also knew that by getting a few ppl arrested they would get them much more publicity.
I go to Palm Beach Altantic and spoke in this chapel a couple of months ago about alcohol. I saw you guys getting arrested from the window, ha, that was quite entertaining. I love how you think you can attend chapel and how you are sooo desperate for attention!
we were already going to do our own homosexuality awareness program so PBA deemed it unnessicary for someone else to come, and you were arrested for tresspassing. thats legitimate
See the west is mad it's a mad state of mind the cops get money with each person booked so the cops make up to 10 booked persons the cop gets his money gets his pay. GOD help us all for we all need it.
dude they support gay and lesbian stuff. We need to treat them like humans, but god calls that a sin, why would the university let them come in and calm problems, martin luther king wanted equality but Dr. king was a christian man and if he saw how civil rights is being taken advantage of he would vomit. They would of just caused trouble. are you even a christian, i want to go to this school and im afraid that im going to backslide becuase my roomates support gays and lesbians
SF is not there to cause trouble. They came to be visible and create a dialog. God doesn't call being gay a sin, man does. Why would he cast someone he loves to hell just because they don't have heterosexual privilege?
MLK Jr. once said that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. Withholding civil rights from the LGBT community is injustice, and it directly threatens black, Latinos, the disabled, immigrants, women, anyone that is not a rich/middle class straight white male.
PS MLK Jrs right hand man and one of the main organizers of the March on Washington, Bayard Rustin, was a gay man. He fought for Gay rights. MLK stood up for him even when people asked him to distance himself from him.
the bible says man will not sleep with a man, nor women with a woman...that is a perversion of what God originally intended...one man..with on woman...for life. God doesnt cast people to hell, he gives them a choice....a choice to trust him..and follow his way..the way we where intended to live..god doesnt condem us to hell..he died on the cross so that we had a chance...otherwise hell is where we where all bound..he made a way for us to have life...its out choice wether we take it ...
See, you are not allowed to quote Leviticus because that is the Holiness code and I'm sure you enjoy shrimp and a Cotton-Poly Blend right? But you do because in Acts 10v15 its say "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean." Jesus came so that we don't have to live by those unattainable standards of Holiness. He came so that through him we can have life and have it more abundantly. And your wrong about the one man and one woman part.
Historically "marriage" was between one man and many women. Even in the biblical days. God original intent for Adam and Eve where to make more. He never said that that was the intended model for marriage/relationships.
Matthew 22:37-39 and John 3:16 are the two most important things any person, Gay or Straight, need to worry about.
of moral character..they will be totally depraved commiting adultery..burning in lust for one another...confused sexually...they will mock god and turn from him and he will let them run loose because they want to do what they want. Dont confuse doctrine..and no offense but it be very hard in my opnion to call yourself a beleiver in jesus and support homosexuality..its borderline hypocrisy
man you have your doctrine all wrong...i know after god died the Law System was broken..but what your saying is not true. In the old Testament..god says dont kill..and we hold it true today we dont say oh thats for the old testament holiness law..no ..the same goes for gods purpose for heterosexual relationships. He created man, and women. homosexuality is a sin..and its wrong...it says in romans that in the last days man will sleep with man and woman with woman no one will have any sense cont..
First off Exodus and Leviticus are two different books in the Bible. One is the book of the Law, and the other is the explanation of a journey out. Exodus 20 has nothing to do with Leviticus 18 [which we are currently talking about] The ten commandments are not a holiness codes, they are Moral guidelines.
Second, You said it yourself. God created Man and Woman. Each with there own unique personalities, sexuality and thinking, all of which rely on each other. Where in the Bible does it specifically say that being gay is a sin? I doesn't. Man says that.
And if you would put Romans 1:26-27 into context you would have realized that he was referring to people who God already reveled himself to. "19 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them." AKA People who have already completely turned there backs on God.
No offense, but in my opinion, I find it hard for you to call yourself a Christian, when you support discrimination and hate to the LGBT community, which I am apart of. My relationship with Jesus Christ is personal, and only he can judge it. He created me and loves me just as I am.
whatever i dont hate your judgemental you know your bible, or uyou use bible gateway..but in the end i know im right you cant change my mind...i know whats right...the greater part of the christian community holds to the idea that homosexuality is a sin...so the few methodists..and hold outs like yourselves think that you got it right...no...you dont ...your people are more like th jim jones cult with these radical ideas that suck people in
I'm not trying to change you mind about anything. I'm just trying to let you know that there are Gay people out there that love the Lord and serve him on a daily basis.
Jesus was a radical. He saw thing very different from the majority in his time. He said thing people didn't like and where not ready to hear, but they where the truth. And the truth is, God loves and affirms the LGBT community.
BTW I'm not affiliated with any church or denomination.
