Meh. The same could be said for Rembrandt or any of the old masters, who used to paint religiously themed paintings and include those who commissioned the painting in the the scene. So their friends could come over and see them standing with Christ or opening the door the Mary.
It could be said that Warhol democratized art and made it available for everyone. Not just lords.
