What a stupid video. Yay...you're chasing (and losing) to a Ferrari. The charger is undoubtedly modified...and still losing. Financial arguments? A Ferrari worthy of argument would be a used 360 Modena. I saw one for sale for 50,000. A classic Chargers routinely fetch $50,000. There, a financial match. You also have to realize that the tires that came factory on those cars were not only over 40 years old now, but they were also so skinny there was no way all the power the engine delivered was actually getting to the ground. It's still a killer 1/4 mile given the circumstances.

American cars aren't meant for top speed, because they'll never be used. We don't have the autobahn. Classic muscle cars were created for stoplight racing, an area they would and did see frequent use. Top speed is usually just for bragging rights, and carries no weight in normal racing
