if you look at autos.msn.com you will see that what Chevy did with that 2.3L the imports didnt do til like 10yrs later. judging from that site.. i mean i could be wrong but thats what i see. thats how advance chevy was. their cars were typically 10yrs ahead of their time. My fav is the 90's Z24. A compact with a cowl induction hood. Chevy hadnt done that since 1970. goes to show they knew what they were doin.. jus too Far in advance.

I have a 91 Beratta base 3.1 5-speed and some bolt ons and I'd bet it could take any non-turbo Honda out(minus S2000), especially a CRX Blah. I also have a 92 Accord 5-speed with an H22 swap,pacesetter headers and cat-back, AEM intake, and and racing suspension that can get my Beretta off the line but not in the 1/4

Actually, the Quad 4 came in three varieties: 150hp, 180hp and 200hp. The Beretta had the 180hp version. Adding the turbo probably boosts it to the 260-300 range very nicely....

Right. Stock GTZ's put up 0.94g's on the skid pad, and beat BMW M3's 0-60. Berettas are good cars and respond well to easy mods. For $1500, my car has about 200hp and runs low 15's with no turbo.

see that just proves that you don't know your history very well. Corvette, Camaro and Beretta were all conceptualized in the same studio, where as the rest of GM's cars were different. The reason they no longer make the Beretta is because they changed the design slightly but people wanted something new, just like people to want to fix something that isn't broken. I would still buy another beretta before a ford or an import. Statistics say they're still one of the best and safest cars around.

it was from a dead stop and my Z26 is a 4 Quad High Output....4 cyl 5 speed. i also didn't pop the clutch fast enough...lol! he had a 4 cyl....but he also had a Cold Air Intake system. my Beretta is Stock...i might be getting Cold Air soon. then i will race him and see if i beet him.

Rex sold this Beretta GTZ a few months back. Not bad for a 15 year old car with a turbo engine built from mostly Junkyard parts. This is what a Real Turbo GTZ sounds like. Not that other one on You Tube with the American Racing Wheels that isn't even turbo. "This is my bad ass Beretta GTZ, turbo etc..." that one is a fake.
