Embossing with Fiskars plates and cuttlebug

just got mine christmas 2011 and it came with the c plate

I purchased a cuttlebug and it did NOT come with the C plate. I purchased it from Joann's online (on sale). The new Green & yellow cuttlebugs Do NOT come with the C plate. I did not realize it until I got the machine. It came with directions, 1 embossing folder, 1 A Spacer, 2 B cutting pads, and the machine itself. I am going online now to order the Thin Die Adapter and Cutting Pad C, while its still on sale.

I ordered this machine last night as well as the fiskars and mats but i forgot to order a C plate. Does anyone know if the C plate comes with the machine? THANKS! grace

@grazie0316 If you ordered the Cuttlebug for the first time , Yes it does come with the C place.

Will this work with the new pink cuttlebug? Is its slot as big as your green one? I have a lot of Fiskars plates and now I'm thinking about getting a pink Cuttlebug. :) Please reply ASAP! :) Thank You!

@StamperBumper I  dont own the pink one. I have seen it at a demo and it looks exactly the same so they should work.

I purchased the tan embossing mat from spellbinders that you mention and assembled my fiskars plate plus the A,B and C plate it it didn't even budge through the machine. Since my Cuttlebug is new I didn't want to break it by shoving it through. Was very disappointed.

@woodyandjennifer I don't think you need the see plate on this one. I am not too familiar with this machine yet but I have been watching the videos and if you are using all three plates I went back and watched the video again and she only used the A plate and the B plate. I hope this has helped you in case you haven't figured it out yet....

I have a cuttlebug and I've attempted numerous times to use my fiskars template....and somehow it's never come out correctly until now....so thx alot! Anyhow I am wondering if if''s suppose to be somewhat hard to put through as if I'm forcing it?

no need to buy the embossing mats, which can cost $15 or more. I bought plumbers gasket (mat) at Lowe's for 98 cents. There are two different mats, make sure you buy the thinner of the two at 1/16. Hope this helps. Happy Embossing

Funny !!

I couldn't help but laugh at how you screwed it up when you put the tan mat on - and shoved the paper up too far!

When it came out half-embossed and really messed up, you tried to brush it off - as if you intended to do that on purpose!

Would it have killed you to just take two minutes and re-do it properly?

By the way - if you simply CLEAN the bottom of the CB, the suction will return and you won't have it wobbling all over the place.
