  • Superb bass lines. Independent, imponent, creative and very pleasant.

  • wow , sorry about the many typos

  • slavs are mixture between baltic skandinavian and tatar nations they have their genetics , if you compare ethnic baltic peolpe and slavic people we are totaly different we dont even look the same

  • @LoveeDaisy Slavs are mixture of whatever - as long as they have accepted the Christian, predominately orthodox faith and the language. We might look the same - as they sometimes might be us. Thats all. If you take russians - they are finnougric+tratar+jewish(khazar) people who given up their own to become Great Russians. But whenever they thinbk off reall russian sterotipical blonde - they have to come to Latvia tto pick one as there are none available in their own great country,

  • @susus2222 Oh please. And Hungarians are Central Asians.

Look up a genetic research, any will do. Say, Dodecad or Eurogenes. Russians are identical to Poles or Belarusians, but with slight Finnic influences coming from Mordvins, Komi, Ingrians (the same influence is much greater in Finns, though they also have a greater West Euro influence).

  • @Humanophage It's very important to point out that you're talking about Ethnic Russians ;)

  • Respond to this video... never the less - it's highly likely that they have many balts among their ranks. and dont forget - that finno-ugric people and balts share same DNA still.

  • This is one of the most beautiful examples of folk music I have heard in a long time. Pure genius.

  • Great music! I especially like Saules meita. Greetings from Sweden! I also like Garmarna, Hedningarna and Ainbusk from Gotland. Maybe it was the gotlanders, related with goths that spread the suncult and the snakecult connected with that, all over the Baltic sea in the Bronze age. Gutans in aiwins! Goths forever! Es milju dainas! There are many names connected with Kurland on Gotland/Gutland. Slite, Alande, Guldr(upe). In Kurland there might be placenames with gud*, meaning "gotlander".

  • Skaisti,super.

  • cik gan latviesu valoda ir skaista!!!

  • .Paldies, ka padalījies, loti skaista dzeisma. At last a group capturing the real fire in the folk songs, that I was depending on from Celtic groups though am Latvian- born in Oz.Can't believe how happy I was to discover this group stumbling on them when stumbling back to Latvians Online site..... son marrying , intrest in Latvian rings , rings then went to Lats online site, happened they had mentioned this group I'd never heard of

  • This is exactly what I felt while living in the Baltics! - Ilgi connects you to very deep (pre)historic memory that can be transported best by music and pictures. I'm glad to hear that other people have made this experience too.

  • Vasali!

2000-3000 years ago Balts and Slavs used to be a single unity. One nation if you may put so. 5000-6000 ago all Indo-Europeans. You may like it or not but I'm telling on the linguistics basis.

This group - they have been touching something pre-historic in me, Being the decendant from Balts and Slavs - I feel like remembering somthing when hearing 'Igli',

    Tas ir laba dziesma. Paldies!

  • Laba grupa, sacit zviedrisks puika. Ari Garmarna un Hedningarna ir labas grupas..!

  • Iļģi ir lieliski, kā vienmēr!! Paldies!!

  • in slavic langueges are a lot of baltc languege words, like in russian languge are many words near to latvian or lithuanian, that is because in Russias teritory lived baltic tribes like Galindi who where close to prussians and they where asimilated in slavic culture midle ages.

  • superīga dziesma no superīgas grupas!

  • Skaista dziesma! :)

  • Ļoti skaisti...Paldies, ka padalījies! Tā tikai turpināt.

  • great,j have ilgi`s cd called not for one day,

    cool

  • Great band, great song! Really slavic... Greetings from Poland! ;)

  • no,my friend ,they are baltic group of it

  • Oh, yeah you're right, my mistake. But great anyway ;)

  • I'm not sure I understand your post. Latvian and Lithuanian are Indo European languages but Baltic, not Slavic. Estonians on the other hand speak a Finno Uralic language (i.e., not Indo European). Both Latvian and Lithuanian are probably the oldest IndoEuropean languages spoken in Europe.

  • Finno-Ugric languages are on of the Indo-European's family branches

  • Sorry.. It is not slavic at all.

  • Ruuta rullee.

  • @gintesten Viņai vajadzētu dziedāt un dziedāt. Lieliska balss...

  • oo primo reizi dzirdu, bet pirmais iespaids labzzzz. :P
