I really don't think nokia is going to include KS in v40, and the proof is that this video shows the KS like a 'wooow' feature for the X6 and the 5800 comes with music video shows the traditional scrolling.
And, there isn't any kind of confirmation from nokia, so... maybe v40 is coming, but it will haven't KS.
Logic. They're fighting hard with 'clumsines' of new touch UI and 5800 would be the only 5th edition device without KS. It is their best selling phone. They can't alienate early adopters just like that and KS is the most wanted feature by the community.
N97 did get it down the road and I'm sure 5800 will too. Hell, maybe even new homescreen is coming.
Just try to have more than 150 songs(or if just you have a big contact list...) and select one using the scrollbar..., you'll see what happens ;)

yeah i have more than 300 songs in my 5800 and scolling from the top to the bottom takes a second. you know about modding? scrolling takes a second from top to bottom in my list with theme effects on, i can mod the effect to instantly scroll without waiting for a second if i wanted to
Give us 5800 users kinetic scrolling too!

Nokia should provide a decent 5800 firmware, at least with kinetic scrolling, because of the phone is unusable with the current user interface.
Don't follow the apple's strategy nokia..., this is like switching to a new phone model to get copy/paste feature.

There is no proof, just rumours. Use google and you'll even see the screens from v40. KS is coming, no question about it.
