i am going to state a somewhat unpopular opinion: i love the edge. he is a sweety and just an easygoing musician. i do not think he is the most skilled, but he has given u2 a unique sound album to album and u2 are certainly one of the most (if not the most) successful bands leftover from the 80s. they are still making music and touring with their heart... that is rare, even if you don't prefer the music, they have a helluva work ethic.

You guys ranking on the edge are fucking scrotums,I'm no U2 fan but the movie is suposed to contrast different styles of different guitarists,jimmy pages original bluesy sound,the edges effect effect based style,and the diy approach of Jack white,it will be awesome,frusciante is one of my personal faves but he doesn't use much gear but does have a sick style of playing,besides if him and Jimmy page were together there would be a rift in the galaxy from the epicness.

This is going to be so awesome! Jimmy and Jack are my heroes. The edge was chosen for this because of his very unique sound. He isn't the best guitarist but he is very unique. Tho it would be cool to see John Frusciante up there with Jack and Jimmy instead of the edge. Cuz John is unique and very good.
