When I had my Porsche I used to bring my car there to get serviced, good shop. Do you do many Porsche events in the area?, I am looking to do some Porsche related event's in the area. Great car BTW!
A very clean and nicely done car. But it really needs to correctly labeled as a mock-up or replica RSR. As a true Porsche fan would recognize the motor is entirely wrong. The wheels appear to be weld-ups in the wrong size. The only thing RSR is some of the fiberglass work which appears to be correct, but on a later chassis. All in all it is probably a fun car to drive, but I don't think it would compare to the real deal. Nice work.
Yes this is a very nicely done car. If you research it you will find out that is labeled correctly. This video is before he finished it. As for the engine i believe it is a 3.9L and is hella badass. This car is much more than a later 911 with fiberglass work and the wrong size Fuchs
These are not the correct vintage wheels, look at the face of the edge of the rim. It has a BBS profile on Fuchs centers. Visually they appear to be 17 or 18 inches in diameter. don't get me wrong, it is a very nice car, just a replica!
RSR's and IROC were based on 15 inch Fuchs. If they are indeed Lindsey's these would be the weld-ups based on 16 x 6 Fuchs centers. The problem is that it gives the car the wrong tire profile. The early suspensions were not designed for the lower profile tires and end up quite "stiff".
If you want to see an example of a real 2.8 RSR, here is an example. Notice the mechanical fuel injection, and dual plug configuration. These were not really streetable cars and few were license as such.
yes but this not a re-creation of a RSR. This is a RSR Iroc recreation. The original Iroc has a 3.0L with 6 individual stacks and none of that MFI stuff.. The RSR with 2.8L are 1973 Long hoods and the Irocs are 1974 Impact bumper stlye.
Most of the 911s on you tube are built to look like the originals, but I feel one should state it clearly. Maintaining an original car is very costly and it is important that people keep the originals running, otherwise everyone could just build up a car on a 911 body shell.
I'm glad that I saw this. I've been thinking about letting them restore my 73 RS.....Great Work!!!

Ya they are 17 inch Lindsey racing Fuchs. I personally think 15 would look much better.

What is missing in the title is the word "Replica". No way is this one of the original IROC cars. It is a nice replica and lots of fun to drive.
