I just saw the movie - cried like a baby. His story is so inspiring and he seems like such a lovable guy. What he went through is amazing and he still came out as a successful athlete in the end. (:
I admire both....but if you watch the story closely and listen to what both sides say.....you will know Mike took 100% advantage of what was in front of him......he used the Tuhoys for everything he could get out of them...and as a kid on the street with no home.....who could blame him ?......personally though....I dont know what the Tuhoys could have possibly got out of this deal other than a big headache....I think their love for Mike was genuine
i just saw this movie and i loved it. i wish michael and his adoptive family the best. lee anne and her family are what true christians are all about.
"I have to buy a home; I need something to live in." Given the man's background, that's quite a profound statement. You have to love this guy's focus on the basics; he isn't blind sided by artificial considerations. God bless you, Michael Oher!
This whole story is completely fabricated to begin with. Just a wealthy Ole Miss alumnus and booster with a grand idea to use Oher as a cash cow, plug his beloved university on an epic scale, and help to vanquish the stigma of racism that is pinned on Ole Miss.
Im sure theres hundreds of homeless guys wandering in and around the Memphis area at the moment. No grand athletic abilities? Sean gives less than a damn about you. He sure didnt give a crap about Ohers siblings, did he?
The NCAA believed the Tuohys had taken Oher in to secure him as a player for their school. Oher's high school coach Hugh Freeze raised eyebrows by taking a job as UM's assistant athletic director for external affairs twenty days after Oher signed with the school. Freeze claimed it was not an example of quid pro quo for encouraging Oher to attend Mississippi.
This guy is my idol. I usually take things for granted, but this guy has shown me that things can be alot worse but you can overcome anything. :)

I just saw this movie like 20 minutes ago, and cried my face off.
I just found out that the guy who plays Michael (Quinton Aaron) has the same birthday as me.
His facial expressions make me sad and it was a truly inspirational movie. Sandra Bullock suited Leigh Anne so well.
This was one of the best movies I have ever seen.

thing is...he never played organized football before his jr year
it isnt easy becoming a great offensive lineman, takes alot more than just size
so to say that he was adopted just to play football at ole miss is kinda rediculous
