How odd. Most of the versions of this song seem to be Asian. This songwriter is sort of a pariah in the US, because he's viewed as racist and this song has been regarded as racist -- though I think it's racial rather than racist. Of course, for Asians, the whole US history aspect is opaque. But the other odd thing about it is the tempo. For me, this is supposed to be a much slower song.
