I love Elaine Paige´s voice in Cats... & since I heard the versio Glee version I liked the version by Susan Boyle. Idina & Lea are so AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! Definetely the BEST version!!!!!!!!
Elaine Paige is too theatrical, voice weak in parts. Susan Boyle has smoother tone to her voice and obviously a great story from Britains Got Talent. Her version is great. My favorites however are Idina Menzel and Lea Michele. Making the song to be about a reunion of mother and daughter is very emotional from Glee. Idina's voice and Broadway career, Tony Award, concerts and now to TV shows her versatility. She has a great voice as does Lea Michele, who also is from New York and Broadway and can
Lea, as she is youngest and she has the naivity of the character. But I love Susan Boyle's version, too. And Idina is cool, also. Elaine Paige has way too much of strange accent for my taste.
Elaine's is very professional, stage ready...Lea & Idina's is dramatic but grating in the mix. Susan's is unpretentious, heartfelt and exquisite at every note with strength and heart wrenching believability.~~~/)~~~
When Susan sings, I feel what she sings, I believe that she has experienced it. The others are great in there own right, but my only preference is Susan, she touches my heart, I cant say that about the others.

I'm going to say Susan. Hate me if you want. It's just personal preference.

lea's voice is kinda whiny and doesn't suit this song. i think idina's voice is more powerful and still settle enough for my ears. XP

Ruthie Henshall?! She gives the best performance of this song hands down.

I know what Mrs. Paige means in the story of musicals. But what about RUTHIE HENSHALL?

I'm not judging Susan Boyle based on her looks, I swear... But I honestly don't like her singing voice either.

Susan Boyle is best. Richer sound and more melodious. She owns this song forever.
