I think these campaigns were much better than the Age of Empires II ones... I mean, you didn't have much freedom over what you do, only HOW you do it. In this game you could win the same level in 3 different ways (at most levels, at least)

@riddimarknomad yeah, i agree, the campaigns in the expansions were a bit more interesting, but i couldve done with some napoleon, bismarck, maybe even american civil war scenarios/campaigns. although i have to say that the scenarios themselves were 10x better/less boring in aoe3 than in 2, even if the backstories were silly.

@riddimarknomad To be honest, I felt the exact same way when I first started, but give it a shot if you haven't finished the campaign. It really grew on me, and I think some of you might think so as well :-D

one of the things that i dont like about AoE3 besides the shitty fake lame campaign stories is that when villagers gather resources they don't take them back to any storage like a mining camp or a lumber camp, the horses are almost as slow as foot soldiers, the farms (now mills) never run out, the trees don't fall down until they are completely out.

Well, AoE3 is about the "New World" (America), so it might have been good if they did a campaign on the American Revolution. (Which I think they did, in one of the other AoE3 Games)

lolz I know :). I was too stupid to look on the mini map. am pretty good player by now. finished the campaign on moderate and halfway at hard. winning skirmish on hard, too.

he didnt rush at first because he didnt have enough troops, and let the outposts deplete some of the enemy troops. and the reason for not making 20 at a time, well, 1. Population 2. Resources 3. Unnessecary to build 20 troops, he would only need like, 10 if they were upgrade to take on un-upgraded Ottomans.

yes you go to options and tools at the main menu and then go to custom scenario and then build your own fort (its lots of fun) :)
