  • pretty good, chase is a great volleyball player, way better than basketball, just no money in vball

  • was actually a pretty good volleyball player too

  • "I'm just a guy with fabulous hair. No more, no less"- CB

  • The Great Red Hope

  • He took like 4 steps there.. LOL But I ain't hating, met him in China over the summer last year with other NBA players. He's a cool guy. If you wanna see some of his other dunks go to my channel, I have two videos.

  • You can't stop the Albino Rhino!!!

  • Chase Bud-Ginger!

  • used to play v-ball with him.

  • fkn volleyball playn ginger.

  • you gotta chase him on defense

  • jeez, how many steps did he take?

  • lol. Volleyball isn't a sport says the vertically and athletically challenged one

  • still a volleyball player in my mind

  • Volleyball's not a sport though.

  • @Bskiz1978 you have no idea.. there are some volleyball players that can hit hard enough to break your nose

  • @Austeenob You wouldn't have to hit a volleyball super hard to break someone's nose. Didn't you see Meet the Parents : ) But, Chase Budinger and probably most D-1 male volleyball spikers (whatever they are, the front line) could hit a volleyball hard enough to break your nose and put you to sleep.

  • @DuckwalkSupreme you have a good point, if it just hits your wrong in the nose it can break, but yes some players can bounce the ball to the ceiling, it would indeed break your nose. But yeah chase is very athletic and could of done either sport

  • @Austeenob I know I wouldn't wanna take any chances trying to block one of Budinger's spikes. No, thank you.

  • that was pretty. Budinger is going to be good in the NBA

  • continued...I've seen him attack in transition, but not after a pump faked 3. Houston's bench is one of the best benches in the NBA but you can't be deep if you have two all stars out. Also, Houston when taking "deepness" into consideration you have to incude the starters. Ariza, Battier and Hayes practically have 0 offense unless they're set up. Wafer was one of those guys who could create his own shot but he failed his physical. Fact is, if Houston had Tmac/Yao, they could've been very deep.

  • Chase has all the tools to be an all-star but he needs playing time and he needs to get more aggressive with the ball and create his own shots more often. Too often, just like at AZ, he simply gives up the ball and runs to the other side of the court never to see the rock again. Too his credit he is unselfish but he goes way overboard. He is too skilled for that. Time to step up and do some creating.

  • The spirit of Tom Chambers lives on....and his name's Chase Budinger!!!!

    That was SICK!!!

  • Whoever started dis conversation of comparing Chase Budinger to

luke Walton, should get slapped hard in the face!! Chase is way more athletic, a better shooter, and a better passer than Luke is!! Everytime I watch a game with Lakers playing, Luke is always missing most of his shots and making too many mistakes with his ball handling!!

  • @lilmiketv1 Luke's okay, but Chase has a lot more potential if he gets playing time.

  • celkins is right, no comparision between Luke Walton and Chase Budinger. Chase has far more skills and athletic ability.

  • i used to sit next to Budinger in biology class.

  • was he smart?

  • quit lying

  • i saw him in a restaurant accross from the u of a...i was starstruck though and he just walked by...him and the u of a players just rolled up in their and got a seat immediatly while everyone else waited haha its cool though

  • @hequalstohenry1 you dont have to lie to be cool

  • @hequalstohenry1 was he smart??

  • @hequalstohenry1 you went to la costa canyon huh? I go there now.

  • @hequalstohenry1 you were a lucky man

  • @hequalstohenry1 How tall was he?

  • in ur face jerryd bayless

  • How do they compare? Reread the first sentence. Obviously Chase is a better athlete and shooter. But Luke is a gifted passer with excellent court vision as is Chase. There are few forwards in the league with that kind of passing ability. Kobe loves playing with Luke for that reason and the rest of the Rockets are going to enjoy playing with Chase because he will find the open man out of double teams.

  • Chase is similar to Luke Walton in that he's a great passer and decision maker with the ball. However, he a much better shooter and transition player than Luke. IMO Chase is the best pure passer and shooter on the Rockets although he needs to improve his handle, defense, and toughness in general. He could also use some more confidence and the realization that he can be an excellent NBA player. When that happens he will be an all-star.

  • how the hell does Chase Budinger compare to Luke Walton? Walton is the ultimate role player. Budinger at least has multiple dimensions to his game. He is athletic. He runs the break, He finishes at the rim. He shoots well. He is way more gifted than Walton. They don't even come close in comparison.....except that they are both white.

  • thats my boy from english class senior year he was the shit back then to!

  • I've been watching Chase since high school and he is a rare talent although comparing him to Larry Legend is not right...yet. He'll never be the rebounder Larry was but Chase is a great passer with excellent court vision and can shoot from anywhere on the court. Chase has hops but could use some of Larry's toughness and fire for sure.

I gotta question the pro scouts though...Adam Morrison as a lottery pick and Chase in the second round? Fail.

  • Nice video highlight but you haven't seen anything yet.

His coaches in college sucked balls and now he is around superior athletes and skill sets and he is finally learning how good he CAN be. Just wait for another year or two for him to relly develop.

  • The New White Chocolate

  • It won't belong until he does a Tom Chambers....Jam over someone's face that is.

  • Listen to the crowd..."Ooooooooooo!"

I've come to the conclusion that Chase was never able to fulfill his potential at Zona because he didn't have enough talent around him to take some of the pressure off. Now he's shining, and us Bud fans are proud as hell!

  • There is not enough spacing for a player like Chase in college. Drafting reports showed the people thought Chase will perfom better in the NBA. Rockets GM and coach seem to agree considering they are playing him in the final minutes. He is not a starter but he is ballin when it counts.

  • "What a move by the rookie(Of The Year) from ARIZONA!"

    REPRESENT!

  • he doesn't look like someone who should be playing basketball. but hes probably nice as hell.

  • he has a forty inch vertical at least. Cause he's white and played for Az ya'll sleep on him. Everyone did, even the pac 10, and the whole damn league. The rockets traded for him, which was a steal. No Artest? Bring in Chase. It'll be really good for him to play with Battier, though I loathe Dukies

  • This guy might end up Rookie of the year if he keeps playing good like he did on Monday and earning good minutes.

  • its good you got one highlight out of a night full of blazer highlights.

  • hahaha....you mad.

  • I'm tellin you... he is better off playing basketball but GOD dam thid dude could play volleyball.

  • adelman needs to start him have ariza come off the bench

  • Nah...

Ariza is better and hes a rookie, gotta earn it first

  • He is a great player. I am duck fan and when he was at Arizona he was a killer at the pit.

  • The next Larry Bird.

  • Wow.. Thats too much of a praise

  • paulpierce21: What the fuck are you watching? Chase Budinger's game is more richard jefferson than Larry Bird.....Larry Bird had the vertical leaping ability of a cow.....chase has a 46 inch vertical......he's and athlete before a shooter

  • It was a joke dude haha.

  • future BEAST

  • i wanna see jermaine taylor and joey dorsey get some burn time they deserve it especially joey.

  • They did not do anything to prove they deserve playing time.

  • LOL no Tmac no Yao and no Artest and Von Wafer, congratulations Blazers you got your revenge! lol Don't expect the Rockets to be a contender this year.

  • lol thats why we won on halloween

  • That was a huge surprise for me I never thought that would happen. lol

    Ariza > artest

  • Making us white boys proud!

  • LOL word but don't sleep on white people or any race. This is a global game played by people all over the world now.

  • @Zepp1978 hes not a boy

  • @Zepp1978 and its not yall white boys its this white boy you cant do shit on the court but chase can..

  • @Joekingdrums yeah and not all black people can hoop either. it's just stereotypes

  • GO STRONG TO THE CUP SON

  • yeah you tell him voodoo....haha ain't no travel....rockets are still young and they did pretty good without yao or tmac....

  • Aggyberry if you think that's a travel you do not play basketball at all. He dribbled all the way to the basket.

  • the great white hope

  • noooo! we failed to the blazers!!! how can that be?

  • ummm....maybe because Yao and Tmac are out. Not to mention Artest>Ariza and we also lost Von Wafer. That's why we lost. Don't expect many wins this year.

  • artest is garbage. wafer was unexperienced. i think the rockets roster has the most depth it's seen in a while. but of course theres haters that don't know much about basketball.

  • the rockets roster has the most depth you've seen in a while? Excuse me but you're an idiot. Two of our all stars are out and a key bench player from last year left. This is one of the least deepest teams in the NBA. Artest>Ariza.

  • that bench player you refer to (von wafer most likely) is completely overrated. von wafer was talented, no doubt, but why the hell does he get so much praise? the guy was a complete ball-hawk and a very erratic player. Sure he got hot on occasion and could wet any (wide-open) shot he took and he could style his (wide-open) dunk attempts....but he was a turnover machine if you played anything that resembles defense on him, especially when he tried to dribble drive through traffic. buginger > von.

  • I agree with you, Budinger > Wafer.

but tha's not what I stated. I said Yao+Tmac+Wafer > Budinger. Last year's team was deeper. As obvious as that may seem, some people still tend to disagree.

  • budinger does everything von did and more. he is a way better player than wafer. wafer is what he is....a role player. That's why he is not playing in the NBA. sure he probably got more money in Greece, but it doesnt speak well of your talent level to play in europe rather than the NBA. Our bench is better than last years because Chase is just a better player than Wafer. Sure we are missing Yao and McGrady...but lets not forget that this team as is gave the lakers their toughest test last year.

  • do you know anything about basketball? the rockets didn't loose much in losing mcgrady because he just doesn't have it in him anymore. artest is a ball hog just got stuffed by the rim this week watch sports center.ariza is younger, faster, and definitely is the better player. ppl in LA wouldn't be bitching about artest and missing ariza. do you even watch the rockets? tell me how the chuck wagon can box out and stuff 7 foot dudes without depth?how are we still keep up with the best teams?

  • do YOU know anything about basketball? Yao and TMac are out and yet we are deeper than past rocket teams? Idiot. As ball hog as Artest is, he is still a better offensive and defensive player than Ariza. Ariza is younger and faster, Artest is stronger and more offensively/defensively polished.

    Yao/Scola/Battier/Tmac/Brooks/Artest/Landry > Hayes/Scola/Ariza/Battier/Brooks/Budinger/Andersen

  • lol the rockets are better than they have since the championship. there is no way artest is better than ariza. you can believe that if you want. but i just think you like his hair or something. you don't know shit about ball because TMAC didn't get us passed the first round of the playoffs last year. like i said i bet your not even from houston you cake. i got nothing more to say to you. learn something about the game. any bench player did better than tmac last season. your living in the past.

  • Artest can go in the post and create his own shot. Ariza can't even do that, he is horrible at creating his own shot. Ariza is more of an active player with good hands and faster than Artest. Artest is more defensively/offensively polished. Tell me specifically how is Ariza > Artest? I already gave you my reasons.

  • hey this youtube site is called CLUTCHFANS. so if your not one go talk shit on your teams site. and i asked you like ten times if your from houston and keep calling you out. and haven't got a respon

  • Really fuckface? Clutchfans. You're going to a place full of rocket homers? no wonder you sound retarded. InsideHoops>Clutchfans. At least you get to see other fans point of view. Not just rocket homers. What have I said about Houston that you consider "talking shit?" Everything I've said is true and any real basketball fan would agree with me.

  • are you fucking retarded dude? i don't get my information from clutchfans or insidehoops or the fucking internet. i was saying that this video is owned by clutchfans. which if you don't know what that means is houston fans. houston aka clutch city? does it ring a bell? who said anything about being street shit? i simply asked if you were from houston because your talking all this shit about the rockets. you keep repeating the things i say back to me. i never mentioned anything about hood shit

  • Who the fuck doesn't know what clutchfans mean? Listen fake gangsta wanna be, what part of what I've stated do you consider "talking shit"? Since when are FACTS considered "talking shit?" huh fat fuck? My bad for stating the truth. Excuse me, I didn't know that disagreeing with your "deepest team" stupid argument would qualify as "talking shit." Whove those homer glasses up your ass fuck face.

  • fat fuck? fuck face how is that even a comeback? remember you came onto a rockets fan website and started talking shit about the rockets. don't expect nobody to talk shit to you. when have i talked ganster once to you? calling me a wannabegangster makes no fucking sense. lol you keep saying the same things i say to you. i called you a internet thug and you call me a wannabe gangster i call you retarded and you call me stupid. i think thats considered talking shit isn't it?

  • Again, WHICH ONE OF MY FACTS DO YOU CONSIDER "TALKING SHIT?" I understand Ive called YOU pathetic names because you deserve them. Just because I direct my insults at you doesnt mean i'm talking shit to the entire fucking franchise stupid fuck. Just when I thought you couldnt get any stupider. So again, when have I ever talked shit about the Rockets? Get your facts straight.

  • How is me being from Houston or not being from Houston going to help you win your stupid argument that this is the best or "deepest" team since the 90's Olajuwon era? Go take that bullshit fake wannabe street shit out on the streets fucktard. Yes I am from Houston you fat fuck.

  • you talk shit like your gonna reach over your cum stained keyboard and punch me. remember your the one who started this whole argument. you were the one who got your little panties in a wad and threw a hissy fit. i don't know why i bother responding to a lame like you but i guess it's kind of fun.

  • I was the one who started? really? because I remember a statement looking something like "artest is garbage, wafer was unexperienced. I think the rockets roster has the most depth it's seen in a while. but of couse theres haters that dont know much about basketball." YOU replied to me first. Get your facts straight dumb fuck.

  • response***

  • it would be the deepest team if we had yao and tmac healthy i still cant believe how successful they are right now without neither...wafer was alright he can go and i like ariza more than artest

  • I like Ariza too but I hate how he tries to do everything sometimes instead of just moving the ball around. Even Clyde Drexler has been calling him out the last couple of games.

  • This season may not end well because of Yao's injury, but if he can come back near 100% next year, this team could be sick. So long as T-Mac can play with the team and let other players shine.

  • if you actually kept up with the team you would see that we started the season off great. mcgrady is over rated and needs to retire. not a team player. doesn't really care. you would know this if you were a rockets fan. you probably have a fake account and your just talking shit. don't lose too much money betting against US. your not one of us and if you are your an embarrasment. one key bench player?bullshit there's no point in explaining anything to you if you don't even watch rocket's games.

  • What does Houston's record have to do with me stating that Houston is NOT one of the deepest teams we've had? I want the Rockets to win, I'm a Houston fan. But I don't let homerism cover my eyes. They're currently 4-2 going against Dallas, but again....what does have to do with me disagreeing that Houston is not one of the deepest teams int he NBA? I'd like to know.

  • Houston is 2nd in bench scoring so I would say they are pretty deep. Also the Rockets were not really a deep team during the championship years.

  • The reason Houston's bench scores a lot its because the starting unit struggles to score. You have Hayes and Battier starting. Battier averages like 8 pts and Hayes like 5 so its difficult to score. Landry, Bundinger, and Lowry push the ball faster are a more offensive oriented team. Did you see the last game against the 76rs? Brooks was the only one scoring, no one else could create a shot for themselves. Regardless I think this season is being used to develop Ariza/Brooks so we're doing well.

  • @NTMIB Your team is stacked when you have 40 mil off the books and ur still winning. If Yao and Tmac were healthy then starters points would be fine. Also scoring is not the only thing that determines a good player. The last game Brooks and Landry were being doubled at the end and RA refused to put in a shooter like chase to help. Bottom line if 40 mil is off the books and ur still winning then ur team is good, no getting around it.

  • I agree with you, if you have 40 mill being unused and you're still winning you're "GOOD"; however I don't see what does that have to do with being "DEEP". There is a difference. Budinger is a spot up shooter, he cannot create his own shot, someone like Brooks/Lowry has to set him up. Brooks set Battier up for a couple of threes but wasn't able to knock him down. Considering Battier's defense is way better than Budinger's I understand why Adelman left him out there.

  • @NTMIB Basketball is a team sport, everyone has a role which is what being deep is about. Not everyone is going to create their own shot, most don't. Chase is not just a spot up shooter, he is good off screens and rebounding. Chase can pump fake a three and attack the basket or get a closer shot unlike Shane. Also Shane was out there with Ariza, one of them had to go in that situation when they were struggling to score. The fact that RA has that many options only shows how the deep the team is.

  • We're talking about Landry/Brooks' situation in the 4th quarter against the 76rs. In that situation Battier was a greater option Budinger, however Budinger should've gone in for Ariza because he was injured. Again, other thank Brooks, who else even had a dribble in the perimeter? No one. Lowry was out, this just shows how badly Rockets need a perimeter scorer. Not to mention Houston lacks height in the middle. Also, when has Chase pump faked the 3 followed by going to the basket?

  • well they hav roy and we dont have yao or -mac.

  • nice move except we loss...

  • first, would've been better had we won :(

  • bah fail

  • first awesome dunk.
