  • I was about to get this, put after i seening your review you should there is chinnese crap on the speeder and the legs just look like there from 1998

  • what darth maul should i get.the movie heroes or this vehicle pack.i need a darth maul figure to display with my qui gon jinn and obi wan. oh and the phantom menace wave of vintage isn't out in australia. thank you

  • The speeders name is ''Bloodfin''.

  • How is the Vintage Maul fit into this Speeder bike? Perfect fit or?

  • Superb review! I'd rather buy this set at a swap meet for 5 bucks than the new repack lol

  • This was my favorite thing released back in 99. I still think the paintjob on the Maul that came with it is the best I've seen for the guy.

  • OK, I own the original 99 version of this and there are several differences, mainly the newer fig is a resculpt and frankly looks much cooler...better facial features and better robe.

I have own this sucker for YEARS and never until seeing YOUR video did I know about the switch in the back that reveals the hidden firing probe droid!!!!! I can't believe I never realized it did that! That's SO COOL!!!!

  • Hey @SithLord229, I have a question; I have recently started collecting Star Wars figures (mainly Vintage Collection) and I've bought only one copy of each figure. I haven't opened them yet because I really like the box art, but at the same time I am anxious to get my hands on the figure itself. Is it a good idea to buy 2 copies of the figure with one open and one MOC when I'm on a tight budget? I know I should do whatever makes me happy, but it's helpful to hear from another person.

  • I have a question ..are the new 3d sw figures rare becouse idk if i should by it

  • You said the stand wasn't included in the set, I plan on picking this up for the probe droid and my new Vintage Collection Darth Maul. If it's not too much trouble could you let me know where the stand comes from and if the new Vintage Maul can even fit on the speeder. At 16.99, I'd hate it to be a waste. Any help would be fantastic!

  • @sadmanDARK

The stand for the Probe Droid is from the Saga Collection 2006 Sith Training Darth Maul figure. I'd assume the Vintage Maul will fit on the Speeder, as he has hinged hips, which provide more posability.

  • @SithLord229 Thanks a bunch man, much appreciated!

  • your room is so cool.Do you have any fx lightsabers, if so which ones?

oh and do you think you will be getting the ultimate fx lightsabers?

  • @SithLord229 Do I have your permission to make a personal playlist from your videos for my personal use? Also, are you excited for the upcoming MTT? I certainly am!

  • @norncare1

Go for it dude, and yeah, I'm pretty excited for the MTT!

  • I had that figure and my friend broke it....

  • @sithlord229 if you want to add a great piece in your collection get star wars ultimate fx lightsaber i got one today and its awesome by the way great reviews

  • I love your room. can i hazes plz thanks lols.

  • Also type in Robotonline Sideshow Collectibles 1:1 Life-Size Darth Vader Bust

another example of a great high quality review

  • Bad

  • I have the TPM version (episode 1) version, seems like it's not much worse than this one. So I guess I'll pass on this one.... absolutely nice review man!

  • Does it have a just hilt

  • i got the 90's set from ebay a while ago, but shocked they just repacked this and chucked it out now ! I could accept the downsides of this vehicle for a 1990s toy, but its lame they pushed this out these days! figure too - I cant stand swivel joints ... especially swivel elbows ! just screams CHEAP! tbh this modern line just stinks of a desperate attempt to sell phantom menace in 3D...

  • i tried to keep my figures on my wall too but i was too tempted to play with them

  • Nice review.

  • col·lec·tiv·i·ty

1: the quality or state of being collective

2: a collective whole; especially: the people as a body

    You're good.

  • Ehhh. This is a maybe. I think the older Saga might be better. But the TVC Maul, hands down best. What's you favorite Maul figure?

  • Oh man, I remember getting this back in '99 when I was 4. It was one of my favorites.. I'll probably pick this up again out of nostalgia. Thanks for doing a review on it

  • i think i had one of those before good review though

  • Sorry about saying that, isn't the head sculpt inaccurate and ugly? Great review as usual :)

  • @Sectar03

Yep, definitley inaccurate as some bits of paint are missing, but considering past versions, he's still one of the best painted Mauls I've seen. POTJ Final Duel Darth Maul is by far the best IMO!

  • @SithLord229 Okay okay, i trust you, you know them way better than me dude :).

  • imagine if i drop one of those figures that are lined up behind u....would u get mad??

  • Look up to your top right on the figure that tattoo is shorter than the other one

  • you should of shearch the packeging in the inertnet

  • I have the original release and to be honest the Darth Maul figure was ahead of its time with the soft goods cape and ball hinged knees. Now a days these are "standard" for most figures. But in 1999 this was way more than what was out there.

  • Hasbro is realy cheapin us out lately :(. Like y the 13 year old figures! I realy hope theyre doing somethin spectacular soon down the road n say that thats what theve been puttin theyre work into cuz this is just... lazy lol? Oh well great review thumbs up for the honesty n ill recomend all your recent TPM vids to my friends

  • Hey Steve, You are a very talented young man. It's very obvious that you take great pride in your collection and take very good care of it. The fact that you do research on you figures and have a lot of knowledge on the past issues justifies that you are really doing something wonderful. I always look forward to your reviews and enjoy them very much. Keep up the excellent work, my friend. :)

  • @JWKillswitch

Thanks so much for your awesome comment! It's reading feedback such as yours that really makes what I do worth the time and money I put into collecting! I'm glad you enjoy my videos!

    Cheers!

  • this one is a huge waste of money :(

  • nice find steve!!!!!!!! im picking one up today

  • i think that the old darth maul from 1999 is better the paint applications seem less cartoonish

  • Great review Steve, where did you find him? :)

  • @thejediclone135

Picked this up at Sainsburys, but they're also being sold at Smyths & Toys 'R' Us, although TRU are selling them at a bit more, for £17.99! Soooo not worth it!

  • @SithLord229 No there not, I might look on Ebay and see if I can find one. Also check out my new vid! :)

  • HI STEVE WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE BOXES ONCE YOU HAVE DONE YOUR REVEIWS,ALSO WILL WE GET TO SEE YOUR FIGURES BEHIND YOU,CHEERS RICH

  • @starwarsshack

Hey Rich! I throw most of my boxes away. I've kept all the Vintage style vehicle boxes as they ROCK! But boxes for items like this just get binned. I also keep a few Vintage cardbacks to display behind my figures on my shelves. I'll be doing a video of my collection soon so you'll get to see what I mean!

  • Could you do a new room update?

  • @MrCommander123456789

    Stay tuned!

  • @SithLord229 you would love this place called the acme superstore watch the video on the website. i had a star wars eyegasm

  • Wow hasbro same sculpt and mold let me guess 4 times in the last 3 years

  • darth maul's face expression not as great as the 1999 one.

  • I amost bought this the other day but the last thing I need is another lame Darth Maul. Next and last Maul for me with be the Vintage colelction one. I keep seeing the speeder with clone trooper though and it takes all my self control not to buy it...I keep telling myself I'm holding out for the vintage stuff and the sith infiltrator. :P

  • 300th!!!!

  • i remember having that maul figure when i was a wee lad. my dad brought it home with a bunch of other phantom menace figures and the VHS' of original trilogy(original versions),gave the figures to me and then he told me, "play with those while you can, i'm going to show you the greatest si-fi films in the universe!", and thus began my undying love for the star wars series. i dont collect figures anymore(stopped once clone wars came out), but i actually really want this for a nostalgic value.

  • SithLord yay your back and a very nice Darth Maul you have there

  • Are you going to do a collection update?

  • Hey I was wondering when you were going to do another collection review?

  • Hoping to get this and the Phase 2 & Barc Speeder soon too-thanks for sharing matey ;)

  • @boshek71

The BARC Speeder keeps tempting me, but I keep telling myself I already have enough Speeder Bikes! LOL! I can't get enough of that Clone Trooper though, and all the weapons he comes with... Oh boy!

  • @SithLord229 Hehe i know what you mean im starting to get a small collection of BARCS to lol-defo need that Clone though ;)

  • I bought that one back in 99, but i lost it many years ago.. Oh the stuff that i've lost due to moves and relocations over the years.. :'( Nice piece and review!

  • They could of put the markings inside the canopy to hide it... oh well, Hasbro wasn't too smart in 1999 and they aren't too smart now. XD Nice review!

  • i remeber back then when i had this, i lost his lightsaber....

  • I think it's best to pass on this, with the exception for those who didn't get it in '99 and really want this. Otherwise it's better if you spend your money on something else.

  • Awesome Review Steve!!! Did you get the STAP with Battle Droid Pack??!!

  • @StarAssassin1156

No. The other sets I already have in some form or another. I still have my original STAP from 1999! The only pack I may get is the BARC Speeder! Can't get enough of the Clone that comes with it, but I have enough BARC Speeders, so I'll only get it if it goes on clearance!

  • This reminds me of the "Saga" line and Original Trilogy Collection days back in 2003 and 2004 when Hasbro would straight-up repackage figures from the Power of the Force line from the 90's. You don't see that much anymore, but I'm surprised that they'd still do that in 2012! On the other hand, it is a nice chance to grab and old figure/set someone might have missed. Still a rip-off though, since it went for way less when it originally came out.

  • @AsianJediGuy

Yeah, that's what bothers me. I'm glad they repacked it as I missed out on it, but the price it currently goes for is shocking! Especially when a Battle Pack was available a year or two back for only a couple of bucks extra, and you got Qui-Gon & Anakin with it!

  • Cool review, but as for the actual mini-rig pack, not so cool in my opinion. Pass on the whole wave. I'm looking forward to class II though. Scuba Clones FTW :D

  • Wrong!

  • @Jazzirhino

    What is?

  • Someone to duel with Qui-Gon and Kenobi! Am I right Steve?

  • great review

  • i guess it's good it was rerealesed if someone didn't get it in '99 but not necesary to get,i suppose the only reason it's out now is because ep. I is coming back next month.

  • Kewl review!

  • collectability

  • @rumrunner777

That's the one! LOL! I'm such a dumbass at times.
