heard this the first time in 1980 in a hostel in NZ. I was 17 and a Frank Zappa & fusion jazz fan. Within 6 months I had cut off my hair and turned to punk ending up playing in new wave bands. This one song hit me like a freight train. A friend of mine showed John around Wellington a year or so later when he toured with New Order. He confessed to a smack addiction causing havoc.
