  • Every time you try and upload a decent dr who video, THE BBC go and block it!

  • OF COURSE THEY HAD TO BLOCK THE OTHER TWO VIDEOS TO THIS!

  • It wasn't a torture scene. They were getting the bullets out of the Doctor but thought he was human.

  • @SuperLemonon actually, they had got the bullets out by that point, and were performing exploratory surgery to attempt to find out why the x-rays showed two hearts. thats what killed hm

  • should make a 4th on the 10th doctors regeneration

  • Cool!!

  • when i saw the tv movie i was like :O your killing the 7th doctor and not in a nice way :O

  • you know what the doctor has always looked human so why does he always worry

  • @dawntwist good point. Hm. Maybe that's why she doubted that he was the Doctor.

  • WOA! COOL! WHERE DID U GET THAT LAST SCENE IN THE TARDIS WARDROBE?!?!?! ITS AMAZING!!!!

  • at 5:14 i believe that was Time Energy, yes

  • i have a theory that the explosive regeneration IS energy from the time vortex, but since the time vortex is so huge it will take a couple of regenerations to get rid of it

  • @superfangran

im not sure dude, then he would just die again

Since the time vortex would still be too large for his body to hold after only one regeneration

  • @LolGuy619 but maybe he wouldn't die instantly, i mean it took a while after asorbing the vortex, we don't know how long rose was unconcious for

  • @superfangran

True, but he would still die eventually, In less than a Day... Rose was definately Not unconscious for longer than a day

  • @LolGuy619 actually, that has not been stated by any directors therefore the length of Rose's unconciousness is unknown completely

  • @superfangran

Dude Your Trying to say it took longer than a Day for the Doctor to begin Regeneration after absorbing the Time vortex... are you mad?

  • at 9:05 you can see the "TARDIS" door on the left im guessing they they just moved the console and put in loads of clothes to cover it up

  • The doctors wardrobe is hugh

  • how can rose not recognise the doctor, when just before doctor10 regenerated, he visited her in 2005, so wouldn't she of recognised him from her past?

  • NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO The updated version is blocked!

  • @yusteles please reupload the part 2 I can't watch it!

  • part 2 inaccessible

  • grrrr in the film they made up so many things!! but good vid :)

  • i think he explodes when he regens is becuz he still his the energy in him!

  • Dear Doctor, I'm afraid to tell you that you never had a sense for haute couture to begin with.

  • @KendrixTermina right

  • Wow, that's pretty horrific.

  • @yusteles what happened to the 2nd video?

  • I've always thought that the regeneration scenes in doctors 9 through 11 are as they are supposed to be..not coz of excess vortex or radiation energies or whatever else. We are led to believe that timelords possess a quantum of artron energy in their bodies anyway which allows them to live for centuries, have great strength and stamina, heal very quickly and regenerate. This would also explain why the Tardis can help the Doctor in his regenerations as she is also powered by artron energy! :-)

  • I'd guess [and this is ONLY a guess] that the reason why the sixth doctor just spontaneously regenerates into the seventh one is because Colin Baker was an annoying prick and they just wanted to be rid of him. I've only seen his portrayal of the Doctor briefly and his arrogant attitude annoyed the hell out of me. Friggin' technicolor fairy.

  • 2:32

The film was of course (partly) American, so extensively dramatic scenes had to be added.

  • Tennant looked good in black actually

  • How come part 2 was blocked? I liked part 2, man that's not fair. :-(

  • i always thought the 6th doctor regenerated due to carrot juice poisoning...

  • @TheLoonieLaura I looked for it too. He had one done, but BBC took it off for some reason.

  • upload the second one!

  • Why is it that most of the Doctors have gray eyes? cept for DT who had brown...

  • According to BBC material every previous Doctor's costume (or at least parts of them) are hidden in the wardrobe scene with David Tennant.

  • will you be able to redo vid 2 because the bbc wont allow the one you have up to be viewed.

  • your second vis is unwatchable because the doesn't allow it. will you redo it some time so we can view it?

  • HAIR! i'm no bald! oh big big hair...oh david how i love you XD

  • Dr who is spot on when it comes to time travelling. I wish I could regenrate like him and I wish I had 2 hearts

  • I've got an idea! They say Matt Smith may not return for a 'season 7', wait until season 6 is over in which Matt Smith may regenerate, then make Part 4 showing Tennant, Smith and whoever next!

  • Thanks. Enjoyed your regeneration videos. That just took me back over 40 odd years of watching Dr Who. Wish I'd been born just that little bit earlier and properly seen the Hartnell and Troughton stuff. The Mighty Trought is my first memory of TV. For such a benign Doctor he scared the hell out of me when I was a kid. I knew he was the good guy, but he just seemed a bit weird and scarey.. Well I was young.

  • ok now you need to do part 4 with matt smith

  • its interesting - I honestly never remembred the McCoy to McGann AT ALL.

I had it written off as a "peter cushing" - like a movie doctor who that wasnt considered part of the heritage.

Seeing that though - wow, they regenerated him properly!

  • @misterwillguitar Yep, the 1996 film is canon, but Cushing still isn't. Apart from the half-human bit, don't know where that came from.

  • anyone noticed a tardis door at 9:05 when 10 is lookin at the mirror? look closely at the coral edge

  • One thing I never understood, all Doctors had their own forms of regeneration effects except for the new ones Chris Eccleston and David Tennents were the same, now although they are impressive, for me the uniqueness of each Doctors regenerations was a major part of the show. Just a small little nit pick on my part, but I wish they'd followed through with this aspect when they changed from David Tennent to Matt Smith.... Love the show, though Tom Baker was my favourite due to him being my 1st Dr

  • Nice Video! Although I am sure a lot of other fans are wondering...what's going to happen to the series when the Doctor reaches his final regeneration? It just seems that they are ripping through regenerations too fast.

  • Similarly, prior to when DT regenerates into Matt Smith, DT's Doctor revisits the companions he's had throughout his time as the 10th Doctor, which held off the regeneration for several hours, the bio-energy building up inside him, which is probably why it was an incredibly violent regeneration when he finally let it happen.

  • annotations at 7:14 - Russell T Davies said in Doctor Who Confidential that he reused this regeneration sequence to newer viewers would know that it was the same process happening with the Master that happened to the Doctor when he regenerated into Tennant. xP

  • Matt Smith

  • 1996! a year b4 i was born! its really weird to think theshow is older than you. lol!

  • I Think That as a Time Lord Ages & Gets Nearer to his Final Regenerations They Become More Violent. Example the 1st-to-2nd-to-3rd-to-4th Regenerations were just simple ones face to the next, 4&5 were kind of Hypnotic(2-3 also...) 6-into-7 was More like the energy ones, 7 to 8 was all lightening, And After all the years of Radiation, Spiders, Vortex Energy, and age; The Doctor Now Regenerates as 9-10 & 10-11 More Power & Unstable sort of changes, even destroying a lot of the Tardis control room

  • @shaolinwisdom

I think perhaps technology played a part in that too :)

    what with special effects etc.

  • @sharkey4123 well yeah... But I'm just trying to give My idea of an "In-Universe" Explanation. Of course It's the BBC's Budget & The Ever Evolving Technology in SFX that really Dictate what it's gonna Look Like, 50 years & nearly 1000 stories, I'm Sure sooner or later there will be a REAL in-universe Explanation.

Especially now since 11th Doctor Said on Sarah Jane "Death of the Doctor" That he could Regenerate 507 times, I Thought it was only 12 or 13 times, in the old series... So Who knows.

  • when the 8th doc is picking out his clothing why is there a Richard Nixon mask in the foreground? I had always sort of wondered if there was some symbolic/metaphorical meaning to this?

  • @torrentANONYMOUScodc He found his outfit in a place full of costumes for the New Year's Party. That was why there was a Nixon mask there.

  • @ShadowSonic2 right. New Year's just doesnt strike me as a mask-wearing holiday n i forget that some do.

  • Since I'm new to the show I gotta ask, is there no 8 to 9 regeneration cause thats when the show was cancelled?

  • @8bitsquirrel More or less. The show was cancelled during the 7th run. Years later it had an American based tv movie made where they regenerate the doctor. The TV movie was not successful and due to copywrite laws of it belonged to Fox for a decade or so of inactivity. When the BBC regained control they wanted to start off a new doctor too and invented the whole time war part of the mythos and began on the 9th

  • @8bitsquirrel

    i think so.

  • You'd think the gangsters would have figured after one bullet per that guns weren't going to kill the box. Sigh.

  • Excellent job! I especially appreciated (and enjoyed) the comments. Looking forward to your next.

  • The explosive regen was probably meant to be the time vortex but it just looks cool so they did it again.

  • Is it just me or has anyone else noticed how that everytime the doctor regenerates, he gets younger . . . ????

  • @Flipperlikesdipper

    nope

the 5th Doctor was younger than the 6th Doctor

  • Rumor has it the reason for the "explosive" regenerations is that's what they wanted all along, they just didn't have the CGI capability back then...

  • I love the pop-up video style of these videos. :)

i believe Mr. Davies made an executive decision at some point around series 3 that all regenerations will be exactly the same. In a way, I like that the decision was made. Perhaps the director of those final episodes with each Doctor will be less creative, but it now gives the doctor more continuity!

Plus, said creative minds on the show can spend less time on regeneration and more time on EXCITEMENT surrounding it. Like 11th's explosions, etc

  • I can't wait how to see how you create a fourth video with only one doctor. Then again, Tennant DID regenerate twice. Once into ... him...self.... and again into Matt Smith. Plus, there's so much you didn't get to show in the previous episodes. Perhaps a re-visitation?

I dunno. I still can't wait for this next video. Hurry it up!

  • @yusteles You gonna include 11's reaction to himself (with Prisoner Zero)? (Because there's a lot of content for the regen)

  • any one alse notice that tennant looks a bit like john barrowman in this scene

  • I've already done it, all I have to do is put it up!

  • hey can I do part 4 for you??

  • the regen thing w/ the tenth and 11th abd 9th is either 1. he still has the time energy in his body. 2. the fans liked the regen process so they kept it. 3. the producers didint want to find another regen prcess so they kept it.

  • @tardis421

The reason was, because, they were going for the general audience, basically, not everyone who watched the newer series had watched to old ones, so they kept them the same as not to cause confusion with the newer fans, RTD said it on Doctor Who confidential.

  • hey can I do a fourth one?? for you, I'll put a video response to it

  • I'm upset that they didn't let Eccleston play The Doctor for more than 1 season. As great as Tennant was after him, I liked Eccleston and thought he had alot to offer.

  • @Sasfoot Its not that they didn't let him play the Doctor more. He left the show to work on Heroes or something.

  • @Sasfoot I heard somewhere that he decided to leave because he didn't want to be type cast, although, I don't know how you can be type cast as the doctor.

  • I'm upset that they didn't let Eccleston play The Doctor for more than 1 season. As great as Tennant was after him, I liked Eccleston and thought he had alot to offer.

  • I'm upset that they didn't let Eccleston play The Doctor for more than 1 season. As great as Tennant was after him, I liked Eccleston and thought he had alot to offer.

  • I haven't seen any episodes with Matt Smith yet. From what I've heard, he's a really big name in the UK. However, since David Tennant was the best Doctor since Tom Baker, he's going to be very hard to replace and live up to.

  • it makes no sense cuz the ninth doctor couldn't have picked out different clothes to wear after his 8th regeneration without noticing his appearence!!!

  • so will there be a new one update with David's regeneration...and if so when do you think it will be?

  • I hope we get one regneration that isn't white - maybe Black? or East Asian? South Asian? Just as long as they don't try to have him regenerate into a woman

  • @uofc57 sorry not gonna happen as the doctor is white, period.

  • @prsentaiguy As far as i know, the regenerations are random which means it can be anyone. This is Dr Who/sci-fi - anything is possible in this universe.I find it amusing that people can accept a 900 odd year old man who travels in a telephone box thats bigger in the inside then the outside and possesses a screwdriver which basically opens anything but not a black Dr.If he can change his body, personality and every cell in his body then why not skin colour?

  • Matt Smith is still awsome.

He kinda brings a classic doctor who theme ot him tho.

  • Why does the Seventh Doctor not seem to realize that Mel is actually the Rani?

  • @TheMarcRS It's been shown that sometimes soon after a regeneration, there is some trauma that adversely affects the Doctor. Similar to the 5th and 10th Doctor's physical weakness (towards the point of almost failing) and the 6th Doctor's overly aggressive and hostile behavior towards Peri, the 7th Doctor suffered from some level of amnesia that the Rani played on.

  • @Vlorsutes Thanks for clearing that up.

  • Matt Smith did a damn good job in the first episode! I hope that's a sign of things to come!

  • Yustels, thank you from an American Who geek for your superb work. You are a true super-fan and I had great fun watching your travels through Who time and space.

    As Doc # 9 would say...Fantastic.

  • so any plans to update now as 11th Doctor chose his costume properly?

  • awsome

  • The poor 6th to 7th regeneration was made up for by the quality of some of the McCoy years scripts...

  • Only in America. In Britain, it'll still be on the 3rd.

  • The start of the new season had now been pushed back to April 17th Doctor Who fans so be patient.

  • Should make a Doctor Who game

  • Here's hoping they make the obligatory reference to the Fourth's scarves when it comes time for Smith to re-outfit.

  • that scarf Tennant wore was a real Baker one? that is too awesome!

  • What I mean by that last comment is he knew exactly ever since he was little what his doctor would wear

  • Cool Fact: David already knew what he was going to wear ahead of time.

  • Did anyone else think that thei Eight Doctor looked sexy in that shroud?

  • yadh i really dont get the 6th to 7th: Mel is fine , but he dies!!! like what the hell!!

  • Well, my guess is that the Doc happened to hit his head on the console whereas Mel just got lucky.

  • Wow, Seven to Eight was pretty awful. I've never seen that one. Finally the special effects got better too.

  • whens the new series starting, I can remember something about april im sure...

  • I heard March 13th

  • ooh even better than April :D

  • @AStickManProductions

Sorry, looks like i heard wrong :(

New series starts on April 3rd

  • I reckon perhaps the final doctor 13th should be old not young to repsent the doctor's age & his last life. Rik Mayall or Ian McKellen would make a good doctor.

  • but 10regenerated twice so 12 will be the last

  • The second regeneration of the 10th doctor won't count towards the 13 lives. So there are 2 more left after Matt Smith regenerates.

  • @andyyinger two more chances to be "ginger" >:3

  • Do you really think the BBC is going to end the show because of a minor continuity problem like that 12 regenerations stuff?

  • @Tolstoy111 thought it was 13.

  • @CoolBoysBackYard the next two doctors after matt smith is jamess nesbit n alan davies

  • people may think Imdaft but Colin Baker wa my fa doc

  • So now only the last regeneration and the new logo is missing, were there be a new section?

  • The one disappointment I had with David's regeneration to Smith was the fact it was the same regeneration we had with the 9th. Every regeneration was different till now.

  • @achsdu17 I'd say its a bit different, for one the 10 to 11 regeneration was a bit more violent than 9 to 10 regeneration, while the TARDIS exploding and the fact 11th Doctor was screaming in pain when he regenerated

  • the 8th doctors one of my favourates im sad because hes only in the movie and not in a series

  • Ya he got screwed. I thought he would of made a great doctor.

  • You can always listen to his adios adventures. Not quite the same I know but if you need a fix of the 8th Doctor then the audios are the best you can hope for. For now anyway

  • @MrKezy6 That's why I don't understand why the BBC keeps adding new Doctors; When Tennant announced he was leaving, they should've just brought McGann in for a few seasons, and then later done a regeneration special with Tennant. :)

  • That Tom Baker picture at the end made me LOL!!!

  • love the mole

  • "Old hat?"

    "Not too frilled?"

"Howzat? Will that bowl the men over?"

  • I think it's ridiculous that people are already hating on Matt Smith after 30 seconds of footage and one trailer.

  • I know its pathetic, I think he looks good.

  • i think he seems awsome dont like that he has a gun the messed up doc who when the 10th shot a gun he has never shot a gun he dosent like to do dat

  • i know he doesn't shoot guns or even hold them but that was to show just how much he wanted to make sure that the time lords, darleks and the hole time war didnt come back

  • @Heheheblalala The man is replacing the best doctor on this show's history.

Of course people will hate him.

  • Comment removed

  • @Heheheblalala i saw the first ep. with matt smith and i have to say that he is good doctor!

  • @Heheheblalala 11 seconds

    I love matt smith a 5 seconds

  • that film was completely and utterly shite. The yanks tried to turn dr who into a cheesy hollywood love story and proved that Dr Who is very much a british thing! Can you imagine an american doctor?!! lol..

  • the best doctor, i feel, is Christopher Eccleston's Doctor for his charisma and his ability to act through particularly dark scenes

David Tennant, although very funny, was a bit cheesy, and i'm not sure whether Matt Smith will pull it off or not, good luck to him

  • Matt Smith, it don't look good does it. He better have some wicked scripts because things are different. Do you all remember this much opposition when Chris E regenerated to David? I think it was all upbeat, people were sorry to see Chris go, but there was nothing negative about David. Matt has his work cut out.

  • Are you kidding? Everyone thought David would be crap. Just like everyone though McGann would be crap after McCoy and McCoy would be crap after Baker and so on all the way back to Troughton.

People have seen one scene of Matt Smith and a fifty-second trailer (considering the logo takes about 16 seconds to show - and most of what we DID see in the trailer wasn't Matt). You know you're still going to watch the show, even if Smith DOES turn out to be crap, which there's no evidence for.

  • I've learned not to pass judgment on any one taking on the role until I see them and get used to them for a few episodes. Davison (Doc 5) had the same problem following up on Tom Baker. He got a lot of flak but now he's got a pretty good fan base. As far as Smith goes, I think he'll be fine, he still has some of the best writers backing him and that's crucial...although I can see this:

Sarah Jane: Any younger and you can be Luke's flat mate when he goes to Oxford.

  • Note about the 8th to 9th regeneration: in "Rose", the internet fan Clive has a picture of the Doctor in Victorian clothing, supposedly just before he boarded the Titanic. Since he never changes attire to fit the time period, it is speculated that this Titanic adventure takes place immediately after his regeneration. His previous incarnation's clothing might have been ruined in the disaster, requiring the change to the black leather pea-coat.

  • oh yeah, and according to the podcast, every one of the Doctor's previous outfits was hidden somewhere in the 10th Doctor's wardrobe.

  • what i think happened is at the end of the episode ROSE he leaves her for about 1min in that time he could of went to all them places then just went back to a min after he left idk how any one didnt figure that out im 12 and i did and i have watched all non lost episodes from 1st to now lol im a geek

  • Right, I think anyone who knows time travel knows that could happen.

And good on you for watching all the episodes though :D

  • i know but people always say he has been regenerated for ages but he sees himself in a mirror and says not to bad could of been worse big ears though, meaning he has only just regenerated i think so in that 1 min he went to the titanic and did all the other stuff the photos show then just went back but it is obvious wat really happened is wat i said

  • 5:15 No, that's regenerative energy.

  • the doctor has a bigger closet than i do

  • how many rooms are there in the tardis?

  • @GeorgeRulesVideos No one's really sure. But so far it's been revealed to have living quarters, an art gallery, a greenhouse, a bathroom (destroyed during the 7th Doctor's era), a medical bay, storage areas, a secondary control room, a "Zero Room", an attic, a kitchen, a wardrobe, and, of course, the console room.

  • Thanks. Its Just, every tim he enters the tardis, nobody can see the passages(STAIRS)he takes to get to the places. On the wardrobe scene,he doesnt take the stairs,he takes the bridge.

  • @GeorgeRulesVideos You're right. There aren't any stairs or doorways in the current set, but (based on some fuzzy photos) it looks like Moffat has added a staircase or two in the remodelled console room.

  • it has 2 console rooms, actually, or it did during the 4th Doctor's tenure. It also had a swimming pool that was jettisoned by the 7th doctor, much to Mel's consternation.

  • @dallan007 Ah, yes, I meant "second console room" not "second control room." From my understanding, the swimming pool was part of the bathroom, although I've never seen that episode myself.

  • George: in addition to what has already been posted, it should be noted that the Tardis is, from a 3 dimensional point of view, limitless in size potential; there can be as many rooms, corridors, and control rooms as the Doctor/Tardis chooses to create. Additionally, it has been intimated that the Tardis subconsciously reacts to the needs/inner mindset of users, as most strongly indicated in the story "Castrovalva", with the "appearance" of clothes, a wheelchair, etc, as the Doctor needed them.

  • 7:27 The BEST Doctor.

  • i like the last one he is funny

  • The special effects are hilarious in the beginning of this video.

I quite like Colin Baker, I must say. The second one is still the best so far, he was just hilarious. I can't wait to start watching the older series'.

  • Paul McGann: the George Lazenby of Doctor Who.

  • Cool video.

Also the producers have to put a scene in showing how the eighth doctor regenerated into the ninth, just so people can bridge the gap between the movie and the new series
