This game was amazing D': I didn't think that it would end this fast... If given a chance I would want to continue the journey and more social stuff ^_^ After weeks of hard work Finally the completed the game for this memorable and yet heart tearing ending. This is truely a game worthy to be called a successful one. Everything, the battle scheme social links.. Even though training can be tiresome.. <3<3<3 P3P 4 eva!!

The MC from Persona 3 recognises and admires your ability but also realises just how grave the situation your character is in. Right there he shakes hands with the Persona 5 MC and says "Nice to meet you."... BAM UNLOCKED UNIVERSE ARCANA.
I can barely remember the last time I played an awesome PS3 RPG. I played P3 and P4 on PS2 just so I could make use of cheats to make it easier to win battles and shit cuz I'm really concerned with advancing storyline in most games. Except for GTA, Assassin's Creed, etc. Those few good games where the gameplay is almost as important as story.
A truly good RPG and/or video game is one that NOT ONLY has good graphics, sound and/or gameplay but has an AWESOME storyline. I'm afraid too many developers for new gen. consoles like PS3 just don't seem to understand that! :/
Why don't they make MORE RPGs as awesome as this anymore? :( Even Final Fantasy has been bastardized beyond belief. FF12 and 13 were a COMPLETE JOKE. Even FFX wasn't quite up to par, although it was a little better. Now PS3 developers give up stupid crap like "Nier."
@whoo689 actually Nier had a fantastic story and characters although it had mediocre gameplay. I agree with you about Final Fantasy though, it's become something something that I can no longer enjoy.

@inscaraburire Actually most of the talent that made Final Fantasy what it is have long left Square Enix. So no, Final Fantasy today is not the same as the Final Fantasy that first hit 1987. Secondly, I can say that the series is getting worse because that's just what I think. @minakoandminato He didn't mean to seal Nyx, he became the Great Seal so Erebus wouldn't be able to touch Nyx, because if it did, it would bring back the Fall. Also it is revealed that he didn't actually 'die' as his life essence is still there, in the Seal, he simply lost consciousness. And in P4 in a conversation with Elizabeth's sister, you find out that Elizabeth left the Velvet room in order to find a way to save the 'blue haired guy' from his fate as the Great Seal... Maybe we'll see in P5

I couldn't careless what you say about Bleach or Naruto but what do you actually know about One Piece? @Crok425 I think Atlus is moving away from Philemon. He was barely in P3 and in P4 he didn't even show, I know about the save points but I think they only did that as a reference, and instead Izanami took over as the overseer. He might cameo in P5 but I don't think Atlus feels they need him in the story and in the end it all comes down to what they feel is best.
@handsometom101 Not entirely true, Philemon is the one who gives the protagonists the Wild Card ability after all. He's not playing such a prominent role anymore though, he's supposed to be a great deity that is watching over the protagonists from a distance.
@SMTsMinato see the things he did, i mean Minato saved the whole world, including Naoya, Tatsuya, Souji and Shin (Persona TS MC) and let's say that if all the heroes gather, let's put theire respective party to make it more interesting, they will have theire own story (like chosing a story mode) but in the same place, they will look like teenagers... since it will be better since they started like that, and let's not forget Elizabeth, cuz she is trying to do something with Minato.

In follow up to my previous post... The end of The Answer implies that if people change, then He wouldn't have to bear his burden all alone. It's at a point with philemons butterfly going past, so it could be an important comment (hopes up :)!
If they've given us some hope in Persona 4 for the return of our messiah, then they should at least follow through. I can accept it if he doesn't return, as long as they clearly resolve it and give us closure. Of course for now, we should just accept the closure the P3fes gives us but it would be cool to know what happens next. Minato was a very special character and probably the most powerful persona user in the series.

I literally cried like a little bitch when I finished P3P... Atlus sure know how to make happy-but-sad-in-one-side endings. And they sure know how to make addict characters, where you cry like a kid if they are killed.
It's official. Persona 3 reached my top 5 RPG games.
My lip quivered a few times during the ending and credits, but the last scene of SEES arriving basically when Minato loses his consciousness, and Aigis smiles, I tear'd.
This game was really amazing, but it was also amazingly long. I logged over 105 hours into it and I still couldn't beat buttrape death monster, plus I bet I could have spent more hours on all the side quests. Iono, I always look for longer games because I get disappointed in beating them right away, but this one might have actually been too long.
The MC doesn't have a "real name". Most people call him Minato to avoid calling him MC or Protagonist. He's called Minato on the manga because it would be weird if the characters wouldn't call him by a specific name, right? Also, the manga isn't official.
The true showing of a game well made is if you can be moved by the story. I must say that this game succeeds that and more. Truly a master piece of epic proportions. I would love to see a PS3 version.
Best RPG ever created. Shoji Meguro, I always wondered if you're Orpheus' son. Orpheus IS the god of strings, after all. And I realized the last verse had some lyrics that were in P3 FES' opening.

If the MC's corporeal body is not reanimated upon his severance from the Great Seal, I honestly couldn't give a ****. If Elizabeth succeeds, then he enter a state of TRUE death. At least in his present state, he perpetually presides over the world to ensure humanity can no longer summon the ultimate destruction upon themselves. His life essence still lingers. And with that, he will serve a purpose: a true hero. We can play future Persona games knowing his sacrifice, and he's STILL "alive."
Look if you've played P4 you know that elizabeth herself is looking for a way to get him out, that means that is IS possible to save him and that freeing him from the great seal WOULD restore him to life
perhaps in being brought back to life he would lose all his past memories, that's possible and would be a great plot tool for P5, maybe he could only be brought back by being put in a new body. whatever the circumstances are, he can be saved. he isn't 'dead'
@Nejitahhottie he' not *dead* technically, they even said in 'the answer' how it seems like he was just sleeping and wouldn't wake up and in the end they had to give up on him. He would probably reincarnated if they found a replacement or the great seal and set his soul free.
I'm addicted to this song! I sure hope they bring back some of the P3 characters if they decide to make a 5th Persona game. P4 just can't compete. This is one of the best game endings I've ever seen. The song sums up perfectly what the game is about.
I just wish someone could make a decent music video with lots of clips from the game to this song and post it on YT.
If they make a Persona 5, they should make it more like P3. And it'd be cool if they could include hte best characters of at least P3 and P4, if not all the other P games.
I played 3 and FES, and I played Persona 4 twice, and I still prefer P3. Nothing against P4, but 3 just beats the pants off it. I mean, it's got better and more character development, and the plot is more in-depth. There's a lot more interesting plot twists, too.
Plus, the girls you could fall in love with in P3were a lot better: Yukari, Chihiro and my favorite, Mitsuru. Aigis was cute. The theme song and FES opening were a lot more intense. I gotta give credit where credit is due.
These credits made me sad. Usually I'm just glad when I beat a game, but with this one...I didn't want to say goodbye to this world. It was too much fun while it lasted.

Truly a perfect way to end this wonderful game. Maybe a bit too happy for the ending, but that's the spirit of the game. And it pretty much encompasses the whole music style of Persona 3 in a single tune.
Boy, you should've seen me. I was almost happier than the time I got my PS3. But seriously, when I FINALLY beat Nyx after many many hours, I danced and SCREAMED. And I ran around. Like I won a million bucks. I was bouncing off the walls lmao.
If you played and beat persona 4 you find out that Elizabeth leaves to save the MC from his fate. So in sense it's telling you he doesn't die unless she failed to do so.

Actually the Universe Arcana is the Thoth Tarot Deck equivalent to the World. However, by seeing Igor's reaction near the end about the card and the fact the he himself never dreamed of seeing it made me think it is a lot more powerful than the World. That's just my observation though
It is stronger than the World. "Nothing is outside the realm of possibility for you now." Not that the world isn't powerful and impressive, but the Universe pretty much means Minato can achieve anything. It's also obvious if you think about it - the scope of the world against the scope of the universe.
@Deimonos85 well, according to the wiki i found, Minato is the strongest Persona character... for now... he's the only character who used the Universe Arcana... and again, for now... we don't know what will happen in the next Persona games... we should see 8D
basically when he defeated Nyx all he did was created a seal using his soul or whatever... so basically he used all his life to seal Nyx up and so he had a feel more weeks left in him and so he basically just fell asleep in Aigis lap and then his friends carried him back to the dorm where he just wouldn't wake up and when they took him to the hospital he died): played Persona 3 FES the answer to find out the whole story
he basically used all his life force to seal Nyx. and there is a theory saying that he was left with 1 HP (like how he resisted Nyx's attack). So it was his Will that was keeping him alive.,
Until he can fulfill the promise of meeting everyone on graduation day... which he did
he dies, if you notice, during the 2nd battle against Nyx the skill called "Seal" requries 100% of your HP. Basically, he uses all his life to seal Nyx but he keeps some so that he could meet up with everyone on the 5th, also in the aftermath many people point out that the MC is looking pale/tired/sick (foreshadowing! O.O) and even before u sleep it points out that u are very tired.

In follow up to my previous post... The end of The Answer implies that if people change, then He wouldn't have to bear his burden all alone. It's at a point with philemons butterfly going past, so it could be an important comment (hopes up :)!

If they've given us some hope in Persona 4 for the return of our messiah, then they should at least follow through. I can accept it if he doesn't return, as long as they clearly resolve it and give us closure. Of course for now, we should just accept the closure the P3fes gives us but it would be cool to know what happens next. Minato was a very special character and probably the most powerful persona user in the series.

but to tell you the truth, I haven't played this game yet. This just simply proves that even though Persona 3 isn't played by someone(e.g. me), it can make that person LOVE the game.

I literally cried like a little bitch when I finished P3P... Atlus sure know how to make happy-but-sad-in-one-side endings. And they sure know how to make addict characters, where you cry like a kid if they are killed.

This game was really amazing, but it was also amazingly long. I logged over 105 hours into it and I still couldn't beat buttrape death monster, plus I bet I could have spent more hours on all the side quests. Iono, I always look for longer games because I get disappointed in beating them right away, but this one might have actually been too long.

The MC doesn't have a "real name". Most people call him Minato to avoid calling him MC or Protagonist. He's called Minato on the manga because it would be weird if the characters wouldn't call him by a specific name, right? Also, the manga isn't official.

If the MC's corporeal body is not reanimated upon his severance from the Great Seal, I honestly couldn't give a ****. If Elizabeth succeeds, then he enter a state of TRUE death. At least in his present state, he perpetually presides over the world to ensure humanity can no longer summon the ultimate destruction upon themselves. His life essence still lingers. And with that, he will serve a purpose: a true hero. We can play future Persona games knowing his sacrifice, and he's STILL "alive."

Look if you've played P4 you know that elizabeth herself is looking for a way to get him out, that means that is IS possible to save him and that freeing him from the great seal WOULD restore him to life
perhaps in being brought back to life he would lose all his past memories, that's possible and would be a great plot tool for P5, maybe he could only be brought back by being put in a new body. whatever the circumstances are, he can be saved. he isn't 'dead'

@Nejitahhottie he' not *dead* technically, they even said in 'the answer' how it seems like he was just sleeping and wouldn't wake up and in the end they had to give up on him. He would probably reincarnated if they found a replacement or the great seal and set his soul free.

I'm addicted to this song! I sure hope they bring back some of the P3 characters if they decide to make a 5th Persona game. P4 just can't compete. This is one of the best game endings I've ever seen. The song sums up perfectly what the game is about.
I just wish someone could make a decent music video with lots of clips from the game to this song and post it on YT.

I played 3 and FES, and I played Persona 4 twice, and I still prefer P3. Nothing against P4, but 3 just beats the pants off it. I mean, it's got better and more character development, and the plot is more in-depth. There's a lot more interesting plot twists, too.
Plus, the girls you could fall in love with in P3were a lot better: Yukari, Chihiro and my favorite, Mitsuru. Aigis was cute. The theme song and FES opening were a lot more intense. I gotta give credit where credit is due.

These credits made me sad. Usually I'm just glad when I beat a game, but with this one...I didn't want to say goodbye to this world. It was too much fun while it lasted.

Truly a perfect way to end this wonderful game. Maybe a bit too happy for the ending, but that's the spirit of the game. And it pretty much encompasses the whole music style of Persona 3 in a single tune.

Actually the Universe Arcana is the Thoth Tarot Deck equivalent to the World. However, by seeing Igor's reaction near the end about the card and the fact the he himself never dreamed of seeing it made me think it is a lot more powerful than the World. That's just my observation though

It is stronger than the World. "Nothing is outside the realm of possibility for you now." Not that the world isn't powerful and impressive, but the Universe pretty much means Minato can achieve anything. It's also obvious if you think about it - the scope of the world against the scope of the universe.

in the answer you find that out...
basically when he defeated Nyx all he did was created a seal using his soul or whatever... so basically he used all his life to seal Nyx up and so he had a feel more weeks left in him and so he basically just fell asleep in Aigis lap and then his friends carried him back to the dorm where he just wouldn't wake up and when they took him to the hospital he died): played Persona 3 FES the answer to find out the whole story

he basically used all his life force to seal Nyx. and there is a theory saying that he was left with 1 HP (like how he resisted Nyx's attack). So it was his Will that was keeping him alive.,
Until he can fulfill the promise of meeting everyone on graduation day... which he did

he dies, if you notice, during the 2nd battle against Nyx the skill called "Seal" requries 100% of your HP. Basically, he uses all his life to seal Nyx but he keeps some so that he could meet up with everyone on the 5th, also in the aftermath many people point out that the MC is looking pale/tired/sick (foreshadowing! O.O) and even before u sleep it points out that u are very tired.
