Check out the March 18, 2011 NCAA Quarterfinals match between Iowa's 141-pounder Montell Marion and Illinois' James Kennedy. Marion spun around Kennedy for a takedown on the edge of the mat to pull off the stunning 8-7 victory. Almost the same type of takedown except all Marion had in bounds was one toe and he was still at about a 45 degree angle with only his arms under Kennedys arms. I guess what does not count at OKWA State counts at the NCAA Nationals.

Your right it is the referee's call but once a call is made the referee should of stuck with his call, it looks like he let the coaches for Abney talk him into changing it. Pappa
was behind both arms and in control with 1 sec left, the referee had it right the first time.
As a referee in Oklahoma I had to miss out on this tournament but Im just saying that the referee made the call he thought was best. Believe me when i say that no referee is out to intentionally lose a kid a match. From what I can tell though he has control behind both arms and there was still time left and they were inbounds. Clearly 2 points. Ive seen a lot of great wrestlers get beat on last second takedowns of this same type. But still its the referee's call
Awe go drew I'm goin to tease him about it at school on Monday
