im a basis scottsdale 6th grader this year and im taking chemistry, biology, and physics!!!! it is a LOT of hard work but nobody cares what you are wearing of if you are ugly or not.....because we are all nerds!!! :) on top of that we take history, karate for p.e.,algerbra 1 or half, drama, english, and latin!!!!!!

I highly recommend Basis Charter School. There comepitor Sonoran Science Academy is a front for a cultist movement. Google gulen charter schools.

I hate how everybody think Basis is so nerdy and not athletic or anything, but that's not true at all, we dont have a playground or fields but we can still have fun and be kids. Why does Scottsdale get all the credit when Tucson is the one on the list

I go to BASIS and it is an amazinly hard and challenging school. But i know that if i go there for all of high school i will be able to go far in life

BASIS is filled with arrogant, incompetent, teachers who test students on material they don't teach. The only reason the students do well is because their parents reteach the material to them or they teach themselves.

I went to BASIS and I my brain was crammed with three sciences per year. If BASIS is so strong in math and science, why did both the high school and middle school science bowl teams loose to those "other" schools which have had less science?

Also, I would like to point out that at my school SPA, only two BASIS students have remained in the higher math class (Algebra I). These kids were B/C students at BASIS.

I don't know what you mean by "B/C students," because at Basis, B/C students are in calculus, not algebra 1. Basis was founded for kids who want to learn, who want to succeed, not kids who hate working. Basis drop outs are usually kids who weren't hard working or intelligent enough to stay in the program. Like you.

basis is wonderful. but ps. it is a charter school. not public or private. basis tucson, just had its 10th anneversary 2day. it may be hard but it is a good school.

Man, the Scottsdale one is just a bunch of rich people. The Tucson one is for the real gangstas. No, but really, the Tucson dudes have to work harder. Cuz the Scottsdale ones are rich and get everything handed to them on a silver platter.

That's not true the school didnt even have money to buy books in some of our classes- the school had teachers teach without a textbook.

And half of the books that we've read in World Lit haven't even been physical books; they've been xerox copies.

thats what happened when I went there. One of our teachers told us it costed the school more money for him to copy pages then to buy the books for his class but hey, basis is stupid
