In 2008 Benny got an honorary doctorate from Stockholm University for his contributions to the Swedish folk music tradition. Not bad for a guy who dropped out of school at 15. I guess his grandfather got a pretty good return on that accordion he gave Benny when he was 6.

@erantha Frida and Agnetha do not like doing interviews, especially in English. They are both friends of Benny ,  so asking them to do something distasteful to them is not something he would do.

@serundipity Benny and Bjorn are both fluent in English and can speak it almost without accent. Frida also speaks English well but I don't think that Agnetha ever really knew it. She had to do the songs phonetically and in her rare interviews she sounded like she was using memorized dictionary responses. She was so smoking hot and charming though that nobody cared.

All in all a very enjoyable interview. But I groaned when they did the spoof of the ABBA video with the split screen - AGAIN. How many bloody times do we have to keep seeing people do that? And then they sit there laughing there heads off as if it was the most original and hilarious idea ever. Poor Benny must have seen hundreds of them as well, but he was a good sport about it - always the gentleman. Thanks for posting this Mira6610!

Actually watched this on the TV that day-one of the few occasions I was not on the laptop. Said to Elin and Marie-A that Benny is the Abba member I would most like to meet (sorry Aggy) he is still such a humble man and looked as though he had arrived by bus or metro!!
