@gamedudejosh As i explained it makes sense from an advetising point. Axew is one they really want to sell, most notably if you watch the show, similar to how Jigglypuff made sense because Jigglypuff was a frequent character on the show, or better yet think Misty with Togepi, the latest girl on the show carries around an Axew the exact same way Ash carries around Pikachu. Personally I prefer others, but of what I can come up with Axew is the most realistic to add.
@gamedudejosh It's understandable. The new series isn't very good. For god's sake Ash, with his what Lv 80 something Pikachu, loses within the first episode to a kid who just got his Snivy, and somehow this Level 1 Pokemon(who's grass might I add)can whip up a massive and I mean town destroying size tornado. Also, it seems to be able to trump everything Pikachu throws at it. This is the most logic the show ever sees.

I...guess he was one of the more popular characters? Either that or he was the closest to Mewtwo whom they wanted to keep the move set, but add someone from the latest games.
@SonicMario2015 I never said that. In fact all I did was put up a picture of Geno. I'd like to see him as a character but didn't mention him for 2 reasons.
1.) I wanted more characters that people DON'T usually ask for. Everyone asks for Geno.
and 2.) Unless Square decides to add a 3rd party character(like Crono as I suggested), the odds of Geno getting in are literally 0% since while Nintendo owns the game, Square owns the characters.
Count Bleck is good, but he's a one off villain who'd fit in as a Flavor Of The Month type of character. Not to mention Paper Mario is a recognized face, Count Bleck is one only Super Paper Mario fans know, absolutely no one else could be familiar with him.

Why does noone want Goemon in Smash D: his down b might be the same as Pokemon trainers only on a bigger scale(Goemon->Ebisumaru->Sasuke->Yae->Goemon) ,the final smash would be,of course,Impact and the other moves might be worked out
@RaffoPhantom I think I know that one. First off, Goemon is Konami. Konami already had someone in Smash with Snake. But that brings up Simon Belmont but the thing is Goemon has had a mixed history with Nintendo wheras Belmont is one of the original NES household names, often times more synonymous with Nintendo than Konami.
On top of that, wheras Goemon is very popular in Japan, he never quite connected in the rest of the world, seeing as alot of it is jokes most just wouldn't get.
If the Skull Kid (AKA Majora's Mask) isn't on the new SSB then I'm going to be pissed off like crazy. He deserves to be on there. Such a fantastic character.
TBH, I wouldn't really like a character that was only from one game (Talking about Skull Kid and Geno) and I think that there isn't a big enough difference from Peach and Daisy to make a character like her when the person could just change the color. I think Paper Mario would be an awesome character, perhaps with an untra hammer as B and Ultra Boots as the 3rd B jump.
@KoopaDestroyer ARGH!!!! This is what bugs me, Daisy is extremely different from Peach. Vast differences. However you have to play the side games, check out the story, etc, to actually see Daisy seeing as that's where she appears the most. I mean, you could say the same about Mario & Luigi if you didn't know them, yet they differ grandly when you look into them! Though I see your other points.
Young Link from Majoras Mask and all of his attacks should include all four major masks Deku, Goron, Zora and Fierce Deity or you could just put Fierce Deity as a character himself. If all else fails just put "Ben" in there lol jk
Ideas: Sora from Kingdom Hearts, Raichu from Pokemon, and Roy from Fire Emblem should return. Kingdom Hearts characters would fit in great because nintendo owns the rights to kingdom hearts because they have had kingdom hearts games for the gameboy and ds and a soon to be 3ds game. However, they have too many Mario characters. Daisy just wouldn't work, she'd be just like Peach. So Sora and Raichu and Roy would be great for the game
Roy needs to come back for this game. We need the Badass 3. (Ike Marth and Roy) And no more Mario characters will be added because Nintendo already has enough Mario characters.
(Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Bowser, Wario and Donkey Kong) While the other franchises only had like 2 or 3 of their most famous characters. So this would mean Daisy won't be in the next game unfortunately. My friend suggested some Dragon Ball characters but they aren't Nintendo or Sega wise so i didn't think so...
@theluigifan1 I like your idea of thinking but I have hope for Daisy. With Smash Bros. they count Yoshi, Donkey Kong, and Wario all as separate franchises from Mario leaving us with just 4 characters from the Mario universe.
Personally I'm not certain for Fire Emblem. Mario makes them big bucks, wheras not many know of Fire Emblem, Marth gets in being the first FE lead, and Roy/Ike because at their times they were the latest.

@Arc13 Fire Emblem deserves to still be in Smash Bros. The charaters are just usually pure badass, the stories are always amazing, and the music makes me feel like I've died and gone to heaven. Also, a fan made a song dedicated to it with a compilation of songs from FE in it. It's called "In the Name of the Emblem". Before you reply listen to it so you can see what I'm talking about. I personally prefer the 17+ minute remstered ver.

If anyone is going to be a Square 3rd Party Character, it should be Cecil Harvey. Cecil has a lot of potential as a character, and has also been on SNES, GBA, DS, Virtual Console and WiiWare (only counting Nintendo systems). Besides, if there's anything "flavor of the month" with Square, it's Final Fantasy.
@tsukinoakuma True, you bring up many arguments. My main thing is admittingly personal that I love Chrono Trigger, favorite game, praise that thing to death. Crono is just who I WANT. However, the most likely Square candidates are Sora(KH is big with Nintendo and Nintendo fans seem to love him and want him), Cecil(the points you brought up), Terra(pretty much same points as Cecil), Cloud(3rd most wanted for Smash behind Sonic and Mega Man), and Lightning(latest FF star).

Also, I don't see how 3DS Smahs could possibly be stupid. Handhelds for the most part a free territory for fighters, and Smash on handheld has been in high demand for ages now, since the original, not to mention the lack of 3DS games, all of this combined Smash 3DS should see great sales.
@Arc13 for one thing anything in 3D is worthless, 3D period will give you a headache and when i game play on something even handheld i dont want to get a Mine-grain from my game play. they should had stick with the DS systems for the new ssb game or the wii or both for that matter.

You can easily shut off the 3D effects, and even when they're implemented it's not necessarily things jumping off the screen at you so much as the world looks deeper. I (along with most everyone) plays it with 3D off. The main reason to have it is the fact the system is more powerful, has better online capabilities, things to do with actual gameplay. And again, Wii U is getting one too.
All brawl character plus, Raiden (mgs2) Mewtwo, Pokemon Trainer 2 (with other 3 pokemons), Megaman X, Zero, Ryu, New moves for ganon (using his sword), Geno, Isaac, Shadow, Samurai Goroh , King K rool, Bomberman, Bowser Jr, Waluigi, Match Rider, Mii (with custom moves selected by you) and a Character creator :D
I think is time to young link from the majoras mask with the character mask (Deku, Goron, Zora) for chanching the battle mode with a tount. And for final smash it would be great the fierce deity Link
daisy is a good thought 2 me and mii's in game would be awsome the final smash is there opens a door on the right side of the screen 100 mii's run out walking over everybody in their way and then there come 10 mi's with soccerballs and kicks them al over the field

@jewstrike I didn't forget. Because those honestly defeat the purpose of Smash.
Sakurai created the series with an idea in mind, making a fighter that everyone can pick up on. No ultra techniques pulled off by quick button pushes and movements. The simpler the better. They knew it was popular but took it out anyway because it goes against what they were trying to make. It took a simple formula but still had those complicated techniques not everyone can grasp.

Gliding - Again, something pros abuse. Meta Knight is insanely cheap, but namely because most pros simply use his glide to stay completely out of the freaking match. Take it away, and he's on level ground with the others(literally and figuratively).
@Xelemend9393 No one said Ghirahim was better than ganon. We want to see him plain and simple because Ganondorf plays like a clone, Ghirahim would force them to come up with a new move set. I'm 100% positive Ganondorf would have more love if he actually played different but as of now he's an overweight Captain Falcon. Much as I love Ganondorf, if he doesn't change that than I'd rather he not take up the space of a character that'll prove more worthwhile to the gameplay.

On that note, I would agree that Demise is way better considering Ghirahim is his sword he's so badass.
The point I was making is that Ganondorf is staying a clone, and not even a good one like Falco therefore he's got to go for a new Zelda villain and this game is the perfect opportunity for Majora, Vaati, Ghirahim, or Demise to step up to the plate.

I personally think if they do make a link clone, they should have him as Young Link from Majora's Mask who utilizes a similar transformation setup (i.e. Down+B) as Zelda/Shiek or Poke'mon Trainer, which will allow him to to transform into a Deku Scrub, a Goron, or a Zora.
@PokeloonsNJ I feel so too, I chose Axew because like I said, I wanted characters that weren't the obvious choices like Midna. Plus I feel like Zoroark would be a clone wheras Axew is such an odd choice they'd be forced to make an original moveset.

I've had thoughts along the same line as yours, but I think the Pokemon trainer style would be better as then you can use all the abilities, like the deku scrubs bubbles and dropping deku nuts while in the air(or instead choosing to drop in a midair down attack like mr game in watch) and his spin attack, so that's 3 for deku link(flower-up, bubbles-regular b, spin-right/left b, and transformation-down b) and Goron link should be (Goron pound-up, roll with spikes-left/right, goron

Ideas: Sora from Kingdom Hearts, Raichu from Pokemon, and Roy from Fire Emblem should return. Kingdom Hearts characters would fit in great because nintendo owns the rights to kingdom hearts because they have had kingdom hearts games for the gameboy and ds and a soon to be 3ds game. However, they have too many Mario characters. Daisy just wouldn't work, she'd be just like Peach. So Sora and Raichu and Roy would be great for the game

Roy needs to come back for this game. We need the Badass 3. (Ike Marth and Roy) And no more Mario characters will be added because Nintendo already has enough Mario characters.
(Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Bowser, Wario and Donkey Kong) While the other franchises only had like 2 or 3 of their most famous characters. So this would mean Daisy won't be in the next game unfortunately. My friend suggested some Dragon Ball characters but they aren't Nintendo or Sega wise so i didn't think so...

@theluigifan1 I like your idea of thinking but I have hope for Daisy. With Smash Bros. they count Yoshi, Donkey Kong, and Wario all as separate franchises from Mario leaving us with just 4 characters from the Mario universe.
Personally I'm not certain for Fire Emblem. Mario makes them big bucks, wheras not many know of Fire Emblem, Marth gets in being the first FE lead, and Roy/Ike because at their times they were the latest.

@Arc13 Fire Emblem deserves to still be in Smash Bros. The charaters are just usually pure badass, the stories are always amazing, and the music makes me feel like I've died and gone to heaven. Also, a fan made a song dedicated to it with a compilation of songs from FE in it. It's called "In the Name of the Emblem". Before you reply listen to it so you can see what I'm talking about. I personally prefer the 17+ minute remstered ver.

Donkey Kong that we know never showed up until Donkey Kong Country, which was his own game.

If anyone is going to be a Square 3rd Party Character, it should be Cecil Harvey. Cecil has a lot of potential as a character, and has also been on SNES, GBA, DS, Virtual Console and WiiWare (only counting Nintendo systems). Besides, if there's anything "flavor of the month" with Square, it's Final Fantasy.

@tsukinoakuma True, you bring up many arguments. My main thing is admittingly personal that I love Chrono Trigger, favorite game, praise that thing to death. Crono is just who I WANT. However, the most likely Square candidates are Sora(KH is big with Nintendo and Nintendo fans seem to love him and want him), Cecil(the points you brought up), Terra(pretty much same points as Cecil), Cloud(3rd most wanted for Smash behind Sonic and Mega Man), and Lightning(latest FF star).

@toron2haruto5 How does this ruin it? If you don't want it on 3DS, don't get it. It's also gonna be on Wii U, so, if it's cause you need on console, just get it on console.
Also, I don't see how 3DS Smahs could possibly be stupid. Handhelds for the most part a free territory for fighters, and Smash on handheld has been in high demand for ages now, since the original, not to mention the lack of 3DS games, all of this combined Smash 3DS should see great sales.

@Arc13 for one thing anything in 3D is worthless, 3D period will give you a headache and when i game play on something even handheld i dont want to get a Mine-grain from my game play. they should had stick with the DS systems for the new ssb game or the wii or both for that matter.

You can easily shut off the 3D effects, and even when they're implemented it's not necessarily things jumping off the screen at you so much as the world looks deeper. I (along with most everyone) plays it with 3D off. The main reason to have it is the fact the system is more powerful, has better online capabilities, things to do with actual gameplay. And again, Wii U is getting one too.

My idea:
All melee and brawl characters EXCEPT: Dr mario, lucario, king dedede, pichu, young link, and pokemon master
Changes: Change gannon's and lucas' entire movesets, change some of roy's and mewtwo's
Additions: Charizard as a complete character, geno, resetti, toad, Isaac (golden sun), knuckles, tails, and goroh

one time I asked ninendo if they could put in these characters in the game: paper mario, king k. rool, melee characters that didn't make it in brawl, spongebob, geno, master chief, tails, shadow the hedgehog, spyro (hopefully Elijah Wood spyro), crash bandicoot, bowser jr./shadow mario, kamek, waluigi, sora, mii, epic mickey version of mickey mouse, krystal, baby mario, professor layton, simon belmont, banjo-kazooie, sackboy, megaman, and the dog from duck hunt

@jewstrike I didn't forget. Because those honestly defeat the purpose of Smash.
Sakurai created the series with an idea in mind, making a fighter that everyone can pick up on. No ultra techniques pulled off by quick button pushes and movements. The simpler the better. They knew it was popular but took it out anyway because it goes against what they were trying to make. It took a simple formula but still had those complicated techniques not everyone can grasp.

Gliding - Again, something pros abuse. Meta Knight is insanely cheap, but namely because most pros simply use his glide to stay completely out of the freaking match. Take it away, and he's on level ground with the others(literally and figuratively).

I'm 100% positive Ganondorf would have more love if he actually played different but as of now he's an overweight Captain Falcon. Much as I love Ganondorf, if he doesn't change that than I'd rather he not take up the space of a character that'll prove more worthwhile to the gameplay.

On that note, I would agree that Demise is way better considering Ghirahim is his sword he's so badass.
The point I was making is that Ganondorf is staying a clone, and not even a good one like Falco therefore he's got to go for a new Zelda villain and this game is the perfect opportunity for Majora, Vaati, Ghirahim, or Demise to step up to the plate.

I personally think if they do make a link clone, they should have him as Young Link from Majora's Mask who utilizes a similar transformation setup (i.e. Down+B) as Zelda/Shiek or Poke'mon Trainer, which will allow him to to transform into a Deku Scrub, a Goron, or a Zora.

I've had thoughts along the same line as yours, but I think the Pokemon trainer style would be better as then you can use all the abilities, like the deku scrubs bubbles and dropping deku nuts while in the air(or instead choosing to drop in a midair down attack like mr game in watch) and his spin attack, so that's 3 for deku link(flower-up, bubbles-regular b, spin-right/left b, and transformation-down b) and Goron link should be (Goron pound-up, roll with spikes-left/right, goron

Shulk from Xenoblade should be in there it would be amazing to see the Monado against other characters from the Nintendo universe. Oh and Sora has had history with Nintendo, the recent Re:Coded was one of them if not that Roxas which had an ultimate appearance on the DS if not that Xion who has only appeared on the DS.
