soca is the daughter of calypso. in calypso there was bitter rivalry between artists e.g sparrow and melody which was expressed in song in reality they were best friends. machel knowing history sparked a fire of rivalry and all the fans got involved. in the end we got a better soca monarch for it. good marketing strategy. bunji actually called machel the king of soca whilst on stage.

The best thing about this performance was the outfit! She could have used her performers more, going on the scaffholding was a big mistake and she has destroyed her voice. She doesn't sound like a man..she sounds like a 12 year old boy hitting puberty! I expected more from her. The concept was good but I guess she didn't have much time to improve her performance.
