Well doctors dont seem to think so and again if you dont have insurance who wants to bother! It will be pk Thank you! I just wanted to reply to u all on here!
wow, that one was big. I am also going to have some large fibroids removed and have had a last minute decision to have a hysterectomy instead. I have rapid growing fibroids. The current ones grew from the size of a satsuma to the size of a melon within 6 months. And I know, I have lots of the things. Mostly outside the uterus, which is why Myectomy was recommended by the surgeon, but they have now started inside as well.
@MsMoople [ran out of space] and I am just tired of it. I have had a period that has lasted nearly 3 months now and heavy most of the time. It is making me tired and irritable and I am popping iron tablets like M&Ms to help, which isn't good or healthy. The fibroids are causing problems with my kidneys and liver (one is getting part of it's blood supply from the liver) and I can't do up my own shoes, as my belly is as large as a 7 month pregnancy.
FIbroids do not turn into cancer ladies! please do your research before removing organs from your body. THis lady obviously need to have this tumor removed as it is huge, but before having any surgery always get a second opinion and try for other methods, myomectomy just removes the fibroid and not the uterus. If your doctor tells you that you need surgery because your fibroid can turn to cancer, RUN!!! Only about 1% of fibroids will ever become cancerous.
yes it is true that fibriod change to cancer in less than 1% and it is nearly present in 30% of ladies specially at the age of thirties. It is better to treat fibriod if it is large or causing symptoms and different modalities of treatment present according to each case and according to desire of pregnancy and it should be stressed that recurrence of fibriod is common and surgery for recurrent fibriod more hazardous due to adhesions from previous surgery
Are you familiar with Factor Five Leiden? I was diagnosed with Factor Five Leiden in 2006, and experienced blood clot issues in 2008, 2010 and again this year. My GYN found a large mass in my Uterine wall last year, but stopped the heavy bleeding with estrogen. It is figured that my heavy bleeding, that did required transfusion this year, is from the Graffien folacules not closing as they should so the bleeding does not stop. Is this a factor five issue?
Wow! Video was freaky. I have had large fibroids removed from my uterus twice. The second time of having the myomectomy, my tummy was as big as someone who is six months pregnant. Unfortunately, I think my fibroids are back and am contemplating having a hysterectomy but am scared cause this will be my third time going in to remove fibroids and there are so many controversial effects of having a hysterectomy done, full or partial. The doctors do not tell u about many of the effects.
@funchocolate66 Don't wait. I had d&C which did work for a month, but the bleeding came back after one month and it was worse. If I wanted, the fibroids would have turned into cancer. Having a total hysterectomy and removal of ovaries (I don't want to have doctors go back in again to remove ovaries) was a blessing. No more pain/bleeding. Even though I went thru the menopause, I never used ERT but relied on herbal vitamins (b-complex, e, etc) Feel fantastic! Do not wait! Life is important!
I don't understand the music at all. Creepy and inappropriate. But the images are fascinating. I just had a 6 lb mass of uterus full of fibroids removed three days ago. After seeing a photo of it, I am so glad that thing is out of me. Amazing how that can be inside you and you not feel any pain, just that you are gaining weight and your belly protruding. This woman had to feel so much better getting that thing out. Anyone who has to get a hysterectomy should not be afraid. It's not bad.
omg i bet this is what i have ! iam scared i dont wanna goto dr for this but i knw iam in dire need but it wont happen no inssurance! can this kind f thing cause have menstrual cycle for a 1 and half straight?
@arabicobg well i dont have a choice since i dont have insurance and no one will take payment , and i dont quilfiy for any help, the e.r. wouldnt do anything either! sad and its painful but i just am this gonna have to live with this until something happens! i dont knw the long term effects of this!
@arabicobg I did end up bleeding for 2 yrs straight and i was able to get to a dr and i have polycystic ovary syndrome , i got progestrone for a coupl of months and then lost insurance and now living with the pain. now after an er visit they said one has grown large and its twisting very crippling pain but another thing i have to deal with ! Think im gonna try some home remedies first!
@Shanaviatampa feel sorry for you, you are born in such a bad country, where they dont have free medication from the side of govt, you need urgent treatment , try to ask your church if they can help you.
@puketinho Yes this country doesnt like to help the ones who need a little help like medical.I did get a diganosis but not fixed all problem! Im going to try some other methods to shrink these things and hope it works!
@Shanaviatampa: Yes, it can. When fibroids enlarge to a certain size they became to bleed on their own. Often the bleeding will come without cramps because the bleeding generates from the stem of the fibroid. Heavy bleeding leads to anemia and the fibroids can obstruct other internal organs: bladder, kidneys, ovaries, etc. Depending on the amount of pain you experience you must find treatment somehow. The bleeding is extremely serious.
@mariewilder I just finally got insurance it took a miracle but after 20 months im hoping to get the help i despertly need! Im frightend to find out the damaage it may have caused ! I do knw it has gotten worse! I will be making an appointment tommorow and my fingers are crossed thst will be fixed soon! thank you for the information!
@Shanaviatampa: I hope the best for you. If you are still of child-bearing years (depending on how big the tumors are) I would maybe first recommend the lupron treatment. It is a series of shots to shrink the fibroids over a three or six month period. If they do not shrink enough the doctor may recommend a myomectomy. Which is removal of the fibroid tumors only. The only drawback is that the fibroids will grow again. Last resort - partial hysterectomy. Removal of uterus only.!!
great goodlie mooglie!!... i am glad that woman is fine now.. i had fibroid tumors in my uterus AND endometriosis and am sooo glad i had a hysterectomy.. I feel great now..
the decision will be for the doctor according to situation as the treatment for uterine tumors is hysterectomy and we do myomectomy to preserve uterus for future pregnancy in cases suitable for this surgery as sometimes removal of the tumor leaves functionless uterus and sometimes bleeding during surgery mandate hysterectomy
I was told i have uterine tumors. I am going for a second opinion next week. I was going to this doctor and at first there were no tumors and now i have several. He sent me for 1 ultra sound and wants to do a hys when i feel like all i need is a myomectomy.I would like to have children before it is too late. i will be 40 in a couple of months. We have no chilldren. i just wish i would have tried to get preg sooner in life.
it is that big because the patient did not feel any symptoms and did not have regular chek up, but seeked advice when she felt enlargment in abdomen...we always send this to laboratory to examine cells to make sure it is not cancer...which is the case..bengin fibriod..patient is free of any disease now living normal life
Thank you for posting the video, I have one the size of a melon in my uterus. I should be having my surgery soon, the only bad thing is that I won't be able to have children.
Can you ask your doctor if you have the option of having a myomectomy (removal of only the fibroid) so that you can keep your uterus --- if possible?
Your doctor might not also know the answer to that right away; sometimes they cannot see everything, until you're opened up.
I had one as large as yours, and I consented to both procedures before surgery: Myomectomy or Hysterectomy. When I woke up after surgery, I was then told that I had the myomectomy.
Actually I will be having a laportomy, and thank God I will be keeping my uterus because the tumor did not affect the uterus area. This means if I want kids one day I will be able to have them.
When I had it inside me yes, is a very horrible pain. However, now is much better I have no pain. How does it happen? I don't know I guess is body reactions.
