Saw these in Ipswich 22.10.09 and they rocked. Thought they sounded very close to the original band. Did some of their own stuff which is good. Jeff Lynne is no longer a part of the band, get over it.

Jeff Lynne didn't take back the name. Jeff owned half and Bev Bevan own the other half and Bev sold it back to Jeff before he started Bev Bevan's Move. Also the last ELO concert was the Zoom tour and that was on DVD. Show Jeff some respect because if it weren't for him The Orchestra wouldn't have any songs to sing, as a matter a facgt they wouldn't even be famous if it weren't for Jeff. The Orchestra is still a good band. RIP Kelly Groucott.

Jeff Lynne is with ELO... He would not let these great guys be ELO... He gave it up! He came back, took back the name, would not let the ones who carried on his name change their's! Hence The Orchestra... Shame, no one goes to ELO concerts anymore - he got what he deserved!!!! BYE bye Jeff Lynne!

From my point of view, THE ORCHESTRA are the legacy of ELO, there are 3 former members, and I prefer them that the ELO of Zoom with Rosie Vela singing with Jeff Lynne. And, these guys of Orchestra are nice and very kind with the fans. I have seen them over 15 times, and I have never had the chance to see the "original ELO" of JL in all my life. I love THE ORCHESTRA, they are suberb¡¡¡

This is the closest anyone will come to seeing ELO live. Jeff Lynne won't tour anymore and has basically intimated in the past few years that ELO is dead. At least with this "tribute band" you can see 3 former ELO members playing their hearts out and sounding fantastic in the process. To my count Jeff Lynne has played 3 full concerts in the U.S. since 1981. A large amount, hey?

The Zoom Tour was far closer to the original sound than this lame set up. This is like watching Creedence Clearwater REVISITED.

If there's no John Fogerty or Jeff Lynne (who wrote and sang all the material anyway), what's the point?

I'm not insulted at all by The Orchestra doing their thing. Sure it's not exactly the same without JL. But still I remember and enjoyed Kelly Groucutt and Mik Kaminski (Mr. Blue Violin). Turn to Stone is a great song and still deserves to be heard. Clark, Groucutt and Kaminski made sure it still sounds good.

This is not ELO. Not even close. This is a tribute band, nothing more. Not only are there NO original members involved here, there's only 2 former members- 1 that was let go by Jeff Lynne and 1 that quit the band back in 1983. It's like Pete Best starting a band and calling it "The Beatles former members" and going on tour. Insulting!
