Very Roughly... it is about someone who has loved someone so dearly, Maybe it is enough to just breath until the person comes back to them because they will not know how to go on without them. To clarify, I only speak on my experience while serving in the U.S. military for 15 years.

My original comments are not directed to or about any soldiers, American or otherwise. I'm not generalizing any military service members nor am I remotely trying to gloss over their incredible sacrifices, service, and needs.

I'm saying I do not care for Laura's depiction of American soldiers simply because she has no experience to draw such a depiction and she really should've used a different theme.

I love Laura's music but this video clip is not an accurate portrait of an American soldier. The American soldier stands on his own two feet, he does not fear the face of an enemy, he fights publicly unpopular wars because he is ordered to.

I am disappointed at this video's portrayal of American servicemen by an Italian who has absolutely no idea what it means to serve their country.

I love Laura's music, but leave the symbolism out, if you haven't been there then you don't understand!

@Sihnjin 1) for what I understand from this video, the meaning is that after all you have seen during a war, or a battle and being wounded, when you come back at home you need someone who takes good care of you, to help you to rise again.

2) I don't think that there is only one american soldier type, there are fearless and not, brave and cowards, etc.
