LOL...this place is right up the steet in the bad part of the hood. lol. I go there quite a bit....but I fish mostly in southern Indiana. As far as these paylakes up here....the fish are beat up. I caught a 38 lb. blue cat last year and there was not a battle scar on it. It was absolutely beautiful. I want to send a pic to you Dan if you will post it. Most 'em bigguns have sores and scars....but this big boy was as clean as the day he was hatched.

Check out Fishcatcherrodholder on youtube. Rod holders with strike indicators. The strike indicators, Works like a bobber. When the fish pulls the strike indicator down set the hook and reel' em in.

well since ur in th UK sizes might be different but i would use size 2 hooks and a good doughball recipe is take a half jar of peanut butter and and it to a pot of 2cups of water that has been brought to a boil and stir until they water is obsorbed and add in wheat germ and some flour till it thickens up a lil bit.

Take a can of corn and drain it, Then dump the corn in a plastic container/bottle/baggie, then put like 2 or 3oz. of vanilla in there get the immitation stuff because it is like 1/10 the price of the real stuff

Believe it or not, if you take a little bundle of grass with a worm tied to it with some orn on the hook, tie this all together to look smaller, about 3 inches, and with the grass, some corn and a worm hooked with this, using a small rubber band such as the ones used for braces, you can catch them with relative ease. Taught to me for 14 year fishing for cap in Germany.

weve got a couple of great places here! we have woodys bait and tackle right by the dam off of keystone lake. had both of my 12,, fenwicks made there. and out east theres another place called nabtack. and its of course right by some of the best fishing for bluecat and crappie.........oolagah lake and dam. never caught a blue under 15lbs at the dam........and its easy to limit out!

First time out was fruitless given I had my 4-year old daughter on the boat. Second time, went up to the small lake in my development and, using a spinner bait, caught a small large mouth bass. First one ever! The next morning went out a little too late and only managed a small blue gill. So far, so good. I hope to get out again this afternoon, as it's overcast today.
