@ImCuckoo4CocoPuffs Certain canvas surface wetting is quite bad. So gesso help it quite a bit.

@ekutoru666 : The paper was gessoed. That type of surface doesn't take the paint easily. I need to put more pigment to work.

@MuddyTonic . Yes. My friend does that. However, the drying time and working charater are very different. The brush marks and surface resistance are different too.

@nss72 : I normally use 6B. It's too visible after painted with colors. Some people like 2B.

Very nice thoughtful video. great color mixing and making the "mistakes" work. Thanks for doing this because I know its not easy doing this with a camera over your shoulder. Going out to Utah this week to paint watercolor...this gets me charged up!

Most people think watercolor is hard because they want to control it. Try to let it go a bit. It becomes a lot easier.

Watercolor is more about philososhy that skills, I think.
