Thanks for your kind words! I've heard it done both ways, and I chose the higher octave mainly because it's more dramatic and climactic. But, it works either way; Maxim Rysanov takes it up the octave in that spot, but Barbara Westphal stays down -- as long as you make it convincing, it doesn't matter what octave you play!
