According to the law the President must have parents that are both American born citizens. His father is Kenyan. Just that makes him unqualified to hold the office. He can't be dual citizenship either, which he would be if his father is not American therefore he is dual citizenship at the very least. It's simple logic and it is the law. Barack Obama is (according to existing American laws) a citizen of the United States. An average citizen, in most states, can present their birth certificate to state and federal agencies to prove their citizenship. Why then do we require more than Obama's birth certificate for him to prove his citizenship?

He may be a "citizen", but the Constitution requires that he be a "natural born citizen" to be President.
There is a difference: Natural born citizenship requires two citizen parents.
His father was never a US citizen, and was in fact a British suject, as was Obama himself at birth, a fact which he admitted in his book.
By law, his mother was not old enough to legally bestow natural born citizenship upon Obama at his birth.

As for the birth certificate (a separate issue) he has never shown his actual "Certificate of Live Birth", which displays the doctor's name and other extensive vital details.
What he has instead shown appears to be a "Certification of Live Birth", a document which - even if it were valid - is not an acceptable form of ID to get a job or a passport, let alone the Presidency.

Under United States law, which requires 'one' parent to be of American citizenship (his mother) at the time of his birth, and the fact that he was born in Hawaii (to deny this is ignorant of facts supplied by the government, and to accuse the entire government of a coverup) can classify him as a natural born citizen of the United States.
Barack Obama is the President of the United States, legally, and no amount of whining is going to change that.

THAT is the governing law.
It's at any good law library.

Well, his father was not a US citizen, thus - according to previous court precedents - could not confer "natural born citizen" status on him, as the Constitution requires.

I'd blame it on the stranglehold the Left has had on minorities for the last several decades.
Dependency on government is the Left's stock and trade. Sadly, a LOT of blacks have fallen for it or into it.
And needless to say, in most big cities, liberals and the leeches who vote for them far outnumber conservatives.
Ken Blackwell was mayor of Cincinnati and was the GOP's candidate for Ohio governor in 2006.
Former Steeler Lynn Swann was the GOP's 2006 candidate for Pennsylvania governor.

the birth cert he has shown was lazer printed(lazer printers in 1961? i think NOT) and not a cert of live birth.
You cant get a passport drivers license etc without your live birth cert.. So where is his?
And how the hell did he travel to Pakistan in the 1980s, when he had no USA passport and Paki travel for Americans was supended?
Either he had to go on britan or indonesian passport meaning he was NOT a US citizen in the 1980s..

Perhaps you should check into the Occidental College transcripts that were presented and showed where Barack Obama claimed he was a foreign student and received aid for his education. Not to mention the fact that to be enrolled in an Indonesian school he was required to be a citizen of that country. Whether he was born in Hawaii or not is not the issue. His Nationality is however.

What is he hiding and why has he paid over 1.5 mil in attorney fees to shut all those cases being brought against him out of court. Wouldn't it be easier to let the truth speak for him? this is complete and utter bullshit---to really determine the birthplace of Obama, simply look up easily accessible information about his mother, who was 19 at the time of his birth. Becoming involved in a relationship, becoming pregnant, and ultimately giving birth OVERSEAS before the age of 19 is ridiculous. She was obviously in Hawaii in 1961, and remained in the US until 1967 when she married Lolo Soetoro, meaing if Obama was born overseas, he would likely be in his late thirties. unlikely

His grandparents were smart and called the papers to announce the birth. It was backhanded move mainly to gain citizenship. I am sure they were not thinking beyond just making sure he would be an american citizen at the time.
Look at the coverup and you see their is an issue. He would have produced it if it existed. the one he did produce is a photoshopped version. That is not debateable.

His mother was already a citizen. That alone already granted him citizenship.
As for the "if he had it" argument, Hawaii doesn't issue long form certificates anymore. Unless he has an old copy from the days when Hawaii still issued long form certificates, then the short form is the only one he CAN legally get.
Why are so many birthers unable to comprehend this rather important detail?
