Jamie Fox was really good. If I didn't know any better I would have thought he really was schitzophrenic. Robert Downey Jr. was also excellent. I really felt for him as he tried to help Nathaniel. He made the man real and normal, instead of a guy going after a crazy dream to help a homeless man with no sense of the world around him. The real Nathaniel and Steve Lopez seemed to be like their movie selves so the writers and director did a very good job.

This is a really good movie, along with the actors and non-actors who were present. I highly recommend it. Just go and enjoy a quality, memorable script, nice music, and even some humor.

The Best Actor Catergory for Academy Awards 2009 is going to sizzle; and there is no clear cut winner, like 2005 (Jamie Foxx "RAY"). Mickey Rouke "The Wrestler" looks great and Sean Penn will definately be nominated for "MILK" along with Jamie Foxx in "The Soloist." It will be intriguing.

I got a feeling this is going to be a good movie. Jamie Foxx is a great actor (ie Ray, The Kingdom) Robert Downey Jr has really made a comeback in the last year too. I hope this is as good as it looks!

LOL! I used to see the guy this story is based on downtown. Saw him while driving through the 3rd street tunnel and in the tunnel under MOCA (where the car chase from Terminator 1 was filmed). First time I saw him I thought 'WTF? This guy must be crazy to practice here!' haha.

The Best Actor Catergory for Academy Awards 2009 is going to sizzle; and there is no clear cut winner, like 2005 (Jamie Foxx "RAY"). Mickey Rouke "The Wrestler" looks great and Sean Penn will definately be nominated for "MILK" along with Jamie Foxx in "The Soloist." It will be intriguing.

And you should know that regardless of what kind of help you have provided, there is still a a self motivated yes-it-makes-me-feel-good-so-that's-why-i'm-doing-it kind of attitude towards the subject.

So its going to be 2 hours of Jamie half closing one eyelid and shuffling about, making his 'I'll Rock Your World' face from In Living Color. No Oscar here, he just acting like hes a homeless crack addict,the guy on the Dave Chappelle show did it better. This looks like a go to sleep movie they will make kids watch in school because of its 'Message'. The message is people with talent die without using it every day,life is unfair.
