I've watched every YouTube video about Control4 & I think it's amazing with everything you can control inside your home with just 1 remote, but however... as far as home security goes, much like ADT & Brinks, can Control4 offer the same 24hr. monitoring for family security? In case of a fire or burglary I would want to be notified by phone, along with getting notifications sent to my device. I strongly recommend you guys @ Control4 should add that for every customer that purchases your product
@djdinkyd3 Control4 has several drivers for interfacing with standard security systems here are a few as examples: DSC Power832 or any of the Power series, DSC IT-100, DSC Maxsys, Elk M1 / M1 Gold, HAI Omni, HAI Omni II, HAI Omni LT, HAI OmniPro, HAI OmniPro II, Honeywell Ademco Vista 128BP, Honeywell Ademco Vista 250BP, Honeywell Ademco Vista 128FBP, Honeywell Ademco Vista 250FBP, Honeywell Apex Destiny 6100 single or split arming and most any Honeywell using the Vista ICM module
@djdinkyd3 ...So with all of these choices for security systems which should be monitored by a true monitoring station/service you can have the instant notification as well as law enforcement dispatch you desire but you can also have the conveinience of automation throughout your home for every day enjoyment as well as being able to set up personalized emails and reports whenever certain events are detected which you can program for whatever parameters you desire.
@djdinkyd3 in short Control4 is not a security system and isn't marketed as such but you can get automation to interface with your security system and then you have the best of both worlds!
