Awesome, thanks! I've never used the frother on this contraption before. I think I'll give it a try. Thank you for giving me a good sense of timing! :D
I've been looking everywhere for a video with my machine and finally I came across yours. I just cannot get the milk to froth! I don't know if I'm opening the knob too far too fast, or using too much milk or what. It's getting warm, but not thick. Please help!
I bet your coffee isn't ground fine enough or you're not packing it tightly enough into the little basket. If the steam goes too easily through the grounds, it doesn't build up enough pressure. As you see in the video, I don't have any special technique for getting thick foam. I just submerge the rubber part of the "snorkel" into the milk and turn the steam valve about half a turn.
Hello,I would like to purchase a espresso machine that produces great espresso and espresso coffee drink's like latte's,cappaccino's and also cold coffe drink's someone would get at coffee houses like starbuck's,caribou coffee ect.ect. Can you recommend a great machine that would work better than a stovetop espresso maker?? Please let me know. I would appreciate a response back. Thankyou, Jernizzle459
I have only used inexpensive Braun and Krups cappuccino makers. I have a Mr. Coffee one that I've used a few times with good results. The ones I like do not have an electric pump for steam. I'm not sure where to find Braun or Krups machine like this anymore except at thrift stores or ebay. You can buy the Mr. Coffee model for about $40 at Target or WalMart.
