Is the more profound of the 3 movies about the war. It allows the characters to do more than just fight the bugs or each other. The religious element is both funny and poingnant at the same time. I love the end, is just the way Bush should have sold the whole War on Terror, not deception.

The entire focus of the movie was humanities ignorance towards the bugs and their intelligance. The brain bug ring a bell? The accurate plasma fire during the first battle? The ambush they laid at Whiskey Outpost?
The whiskey outpost was not an ambush, it was only a matter of time before the bugs found them. And the strike against the capital ships was luck, they were all clunked together and it was a cluster fuck of stupid on the humans part. They probably had a bunch of the bigger bugs shooting those things at random, but there were so many the chances of hitting anything was high...and yes I remember the brain bug, but I just assumed it controlled the bugs..

It was so repetitive, but i really had fun with this film, it's no where close to the original.
The special effects is crappy and the CGjust look dead cheap.

Looks good, but not as good as 1. 2 sucked really badly, as I remember, 90% of it was talking. This looks to have more action, even though it looks like alot of it will take place in that generic looking maze-base.

I honestly don't know if part 3 will be half as good as 1.What I do know is,it will definitely be heads and tales above 2.I saw SST 2 and I know if you gave a hobo a movie camera,a bottle of Night Train,and threw him in a restroom stall with a cricket,he could make a sequel superior to SST 2.So you guys

The first movie was better than the book in almost every way. Heinlein actually took the jingoism seriously, the movie used it as a comment on society.
