  • I tried this. My mind would be clear for 2 seconds, the next 2 seconds i'd think i would just stop breathing, then i got scared i had a scary feeling over me..i don't know why i can't just do this..

  • I have been experience PTSD from being in the EF5 tornado in Joplin mo last May. I tried this out just now and can't even begin to explain how chaotic my mind was when trying it. I am going to continue with it every day and try to control my mind better. I feel this may turn out to be a great tool in my recovery.

  • I can not clear my mind, and everytime I try to keep my eyes close they begin to feel strained and hurt too much, please give me tips to help me concentrate and meditate better.

  • @OverGuyThat to let your thoughts go,and think of nothing you have to start by accepting the thoughts,just accept them and let go. if they come back,accept them again and let go again. its not easy,but anyone can do it with training and will. focus on inhaling and exhaling. in the beginning its okay to do exercices like count to 5,and then starting over,while inhaling and exhaling.

  • @OverGuyThat or listen to meditative music,with sounds like waterfall and birds songs,it will lead our mind to make beautiful pictures,and thats ok in the beginning. especially for you,if your first goal is just to close your eyes without getting hurt. good luck. YOU CAN DO IT.

  • @fishfood2020 Once you break through the fear of something watching you it will not bother you. I felt the same thing when I first began to mediate. I ignored it and focused on meditating.

  • @vascaina1983 : Just belive that you are doing wat u are trying to do, with out belive nothing we can do, even walking on the floor needs belief. since that belive is so strong and fixed we dont even think or obsorve each and every step. you much have experienced at least once, eg: walking to your home with your mind somewhere else, but your leg move to the desired location without your command that is the full state of belive. JUST BELIEVE.

  • I've gone through tough two weeks meditation has helped me relax so much and gave me answers to what I really want in life it's a very powerful medication to your mind meditate about 15 mins a day twice a day or an hour it feels relaxing.

  • i feel like it's too difficult to teach people how to meditate. i think you just need to figure it out for yourselves. do what you want/need to do; just because a video says to stop your breathing, doesn't mean it's the best thing for you. stop being ignorant and immature. if you can't think for yourself, how in the world do you plan on finding inner strength through meditation?

  • @13ruggy Maybe what they meant is the state your breath is really slow and all. a bit like when you are in a deep sleep. My point of view would be more the stade when you dont notice you are breathing anymore.I may be wrong as well. But one can't stop breathing after all!

  • @luftwaffe789456123 What worked for me was, to actually think of something extremely simple, like a white wall with a large blue circle, or think of a blue sky with fluffy white clouds. Or, try seeing a word in front of your eyes, like for example, JOY, or RELAX. You will occupy your mind with that, and other thoughts will slowly dissipate. I hope this helps!

  • @luftwaffe789456123 yo are not supposed to stop thinking. When you fight it it doesn't work. You have to let thoughts come in and out of your mind. And just re-focus when you realize your are not focussing. As time goes by you will be able to "not think"

  • To clear my mind I close my eyes and start looking in the black, in nothing and try to see something thath dosent exists. I try too see something in nothing. This is my key for clearing my mind. I hope I'll be helpfull.

  • I used to be able to do this through prayer when I was younger but now after getting married and having a child I find it very difficult to even close my eyes let alone relax with my eyes open, I need to get back into it because I know it will help me decrease stress levels

  • the way to speed up the dropp in conciousness is you count 1 for each breath you take. and go to 10. if you get distracted start over from 1 again. It helps you let go. then the natural breathing happens. thats just my way that i was taught

  • @TheDeathwish22 You don't acrually hold your breath. Your breath becomes soundless, you have no breath. It's only a metaphor, do not worry yourself.

  • Hi. Im a young man, 22 years old. I'v started meditating for 3 days now. Sometimes when i meditate it feels like my body is flying. But it only lasts for a few seconds. Do you know what it is?

    After having this flying feeling, I get a strange feeling in my stomach, which i never had before. It's a warm feeling. It's a nice feeling but also a feeling that I cant endure in the stomach. I gotta stop the meditation because I have this gut feeling. What is this stomach feeling.Can you help me?

  • @peaceonearth360 ive had the flying feeling but not the stomach the feeling ha to do with the pineal gland ive been meditating over a year and the feeling comes over me once in a while and it will last for a few minutes. check out the pineal gland and hit me back

  • omg i was three mins into meditating and i felt like i was flying and I think I saw a white light, I got scared and opened my eyes i'v never felt anything like that before

  • Once had toothache so badly I meditated all night trying to shut out the pain. Half worked, but also had an etheric body experience within my dream (when I finally got to sleep) which was very trippy.

  • @maverickX54 like it says at the begining sit how you are comfortable and if it hurts shift til you feel comfortable while keeping the same basic posture

    legs comfortably crossed back as straight as you can while keeping it comfortable

    meditating is basiclly finding your comfot zone then finding your most comfortin state of mind to relieve stress both in your body and mind
