i went round my m8s house and hes got the exact earbuds i though they sound so basey now and i red the comments that skullcandy is better i wanna know if its worthing getting these or skullcandy????
@ukcnitro You might want to try both. The quality build of Sony's earphones are probably quite a bit better than the Skullcandy ones. The Skullcandy's are kinda cheaply built with cheap plastic but does offer a pretty good bass. The Sony ones have very good quality build but mine was probably a defect one so try out the Sony ones and if you don't like it, just refund it and try the Skullcandy ones and see which you like best :)
@Cig1307 I'll definatly check those out! My skullcandy ones are starting to wear out, I think. Whenever the wire is bent on the jack, it starts to produce static. Thanks!
If you guys want to get serious listening to your earbuds, look into purchasing the Fiio E5 headphone amp selling for around $20 posted, can be found on ebay, a marvellous piece of technology. If you've been missing that bass and over all punch in your music one cannot go wrong adding an E5 to your experience. An absolute must have for anyone wanting their headphones to sing
I have a w995 plugged into these and believe me that the bass is tremendous they beat the Dr Dre. solos if that is even comparable and these are fairly low end but for what they offer seriously good value for money
you people are morons cause you don't even know what bass is...... so stop dissin' sony products and the ipods cause my personal opinion on the zune and all these other mp3 players that try to match up to the ipod are all a piece of shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what a retard, since when bass is for audiophile? and using cheap headphones like these as indication, what are you smoking, you use a fucking iphone, and you dare to talk about high end headphones and sound quality here, give me a break. These are extra bass, because they produce extra bass and with more colored sound as to other SONY cans usually neutral and not overly enhanced sound signature. SONY doesn't sacrifice good sound for bloated bass, these are tight and controlled base
for moron who's only into cheap bass (the type you like, and usually real audiophiles stay away from), then i have to say, do not buy any SONY, or any other high end headphones makers' products.
then again, these are so cheap, are made for regular consumers who ride the bus and use ipoop as their music players, don't really expect much.
for true music lovers (first of all, u can't be using any i products for music playback), try MDR-EX1000, or MDR-XB1000 (ur face will come off from the bass)
@539ped Yes sir! I currently have the SkullCandy 50/50 and as per usual, SC has done great job with it's amazing bass with their in-ear models. Give them a try if you are looking for some! Then you can refund it if you don't like it :)
Try a pair of Skullcandy Dubs or Skullcandy 2XL Spokes. Both have excellent bass response and aren't offensive sounding for regular music. THe thing is they're cheap and to me if you're spending less you're risking less. Save the money for the more accurate headphones than the something you'll use on the go.Also MEElectronics M6 are bassy BUT have details mids and highs.Excellent for less than $20.
@Mjbabycakes7072 I have the Skullcandy 50/50 for about 60$ and they're great. I picked them up at the apple store so only a 14 day refund policy so I was kinda sceptic about it, but I risked it and they have been serving me great since! :)
@MyiAppReview You should get the Philips earbuds-3580 they are 5-10 bucks. They have great bass, come with extra foam tips, SUPER loud, in my opinion sound quality is great, not for audiophiles though, they would be critical, but in my opinion since I am not an audiophile these are 100% better than JVC marshmallow. Disclaimer:Do not listen to these at full blast-listen to them at 65-80% volume, they are so LOUD! They block out just about everything around you.
@94mcliam Yeah I set my equalizers and even ran them for about 12 hours to hopefully break them in but it was still quite bad so yeah, I probably did get a bad pair. When I look for another pair of earphones, I'll definetly try these again because everybody is saying they are really good
@MyiAppReview Yeah good idea, and they could be a fake pair, I had a friend who was sold some fake ones, they looked a lot like the original but had terrible drivers in them.
Skullcandy 2xl in ear spoke earbuds were $13.80 and are amazing. Sound is crisp and bass is great. Compared to my studios beats, there earbuds have a little less bass
@scorpionrulez132 The more and more people say that, the more and more I believe I may have had a defective pair.. Because the bass was a little above the rest of the music but a lot of the times, they were hard to notice... I might try these again when my current ones die. Thanks for your comment!
@mudmetall I've tried many high end and other earphones that had clean audio but lacked in bass. If you want a earphone that just PUMPS out bass and has reasonable(in a good way) audio, you should try Skullcandy's 50/50. I have a pair, and I'm so glad I bought it. They may have bad reputation(Skullcandy that is) on YouTube but in my personal experience, I've had very good bass experience with them. Of course buy it somewhere, where you have a refund policy. Feel free to ask anything else!
@mudmetall I've Had These Earbuds For About 6Months Now And They're The Best Headphones I've Had(I Owned A Pair Of Bose In Ear) I Highly Recommend Them!
@stumpyjugernot Thanks, think I might buy them. Only thing is that I'm gonna wear them under a skiing helmet, and they might get a little big and uncomfertable... or?
@mudmetall I can't stop you from buying them but I CAN tell you that since the "bass" is in perpendicular to your ears, the earphone does stick out ABOUT .5mm more. I snowboard and I know that I would want a earphone as flat as possible.
@blackdindang I choose a song that I know has a very good bass, and I did choose the "deep bass" preset but I still wasn't able to find the bass I wanted... But then again, I'm a super basshead lol
mine is gold plated with the 4 lines thing they say its like hd i think and its noise cancelling

If you want bass you will need, a Sony Walkman media player and you'll need to set the clear bass function to full. Then try using your headset.
If you own an android device then you'll have to download the app power amp and set the bass to full.

Set your equalizer up properly and see if they sound good, if they don't then you clearly have a defective set. My ones are incredible.

It depends on what type of music player you are using. If you actually set your equalizer to really deep bass, you will hear the bass.
