Gonzo said that his mom have died 2 years before he was born. Probably, that Gonzo came from an egg and he didn't hatched out for about 2 years after his mom laid him.
Fozzie should really stick to musical numbers rather than to comedy! ;D
That Music Hall act of his is absolutely adorable! Just look at Waldorf and Statler! ;)
But, speaking of them - why are they always so touched by those acts? And why do they know most of the songs by heart theirselves? I always wondered whether they are meant to be British or American.
A better question that comes to my mind is, "If Gonzo's mother died two years before he was born, how is he even here??" But then, Gonzo's entire conversation with George didn't make sense. I wonder who Gonzo reminded George of.
Both George Burns and Bob Hope lived to the age of 100. That is a long time not many people can say they lived that long.
I wish I had meet both of them before they passed away. Bob and Geroge and Vincent Price were the 3 stars I wish I had meet at least once. i admired all 3 of them.
I remember the show celebrating Bob Hope's 75 y/o birthday, George Burns said some words, and at last he said "Bob, I am 82, ...." I got stunned when I saw this (subtitles), I was only eleven, and I am in Taiwan.
@Astraldragon1 Another Muppet Show Guest Star from Episode 8 Season 5 Senor Wences The Ventriloquist lived to be 103. He was born in 1896 and died in 1999. So three Muppet Show Guest Stars lived to be 100 and 103.
@LFirstbasema George Burns didn't really smoke. One always sees him on stage with a cigar simply because, when he went solo after Gracie retired, he needed a timing device or a prop for when a laugh didn't come as he expected. He would go on stage with around a 9 inch cigar and by the time it burn completely down, he knew to get off the stage. Read "The Hundred Year Dash", it contains a lot of information about his life and work.

Gonzo's species probably has a long gestation period, and probably bear their fetuses before they are fully developed (like marsupials). Gonzo managed to get by on his dead mother's milk, or perhaps someone found him and took care of him from there.
heehee That was the best Vet Hospital skech. and that has to be the only time the old men enjoyed Fozzie's act. I just love this clip all around. *I won't Dance*
I bet that many celebrities would agree that the muppet reporter is a true representation of certain real life reproters/information sources that twist people's words.

Fozzie hasn't been doing too much stand-up this season. Odd. I guess Kermit finally took pity on him.

@AleeraGorvan Statler and Waldorf are very old Americans, probably from George Burns' time. Older stuff reaches to them because it's from their era.

@AleeraGorvan 'why are they always so touched by those acts? And why do they know most of the songs by heart theirselves?'
Easy answer; they're old and likely heard these songs a lot when they were new(er).

I love the conversation with Burns and Gonzo at 5:12--
"How did you get a name like Gonzo?"
"My mother gave it to me. She died two years before I was born."
"Well if she died two years before you were born, how could she give you that name?"
"She left a note for my father."
CLASSIC George and Gracie style conversation!
