  • sorry christianity is not catholicism@wilthacheerleader18.why must everyone think that there are many religions, when there is only one true faith, christianity.god does not nor will ever share his glory,

  • @coristadedios I never said Christianity is Catholicism. I said Catholicism is Christianity. Just as Lutheranism, Methodism, Orthodoxy, Anglicanism, Presbyterianism, Calvinism, etc are Christianity.

  • diabolic church!

  • @natodc right.. because singing "Lord have Mercy" is diabolic.

  • Kyrie, a transliteration of Greek κύριε (kyrie), vocative case of κύριος (kyrios), meaning "Lord", is the common name of an important prayer of Christian liturgy, which is also called the Kýrie, eléison (Greek, Κύριε, ἐλέησον, for "Lord, have mercy").

  • Does anyone know who composed this Kyrie?

  • This Easter, let's spread the truth like Jesus did instead of perpetuating deception, myths, and pleasure seeking. Go to TruthContest (dot)com and read The Present (with religion). Read this book to learn the truth about Jesus and his rise from death.

  • Catholicism, the most beautiful of all Christian faiths. God Bless the Catholic Church, and may He have Mercy on us and grant us His Grace!

  • @willthacheerleader18 There is only one Catholic, Orthodox, Holy Apostolic Church that Vatican abandoned in 11th century. Vatican is NOT Catholic it is greedy bloodthirsty masonic organization. If Pope had even a bit Catholic in him he would admit and renounce all evil that was done in his and Roman Catholic name.

If you think I am talking nonsense search YouTube for "Vatican's Holocaust 1/6 - Nazi Croatia death camps".

  • @SerbNegroMonte oh please. go spread your spam somewhere else.

  • @willthacheerleader18 No Thanks, I think that every Christian should be aware of this. For their own salvation if you know what that means (doubt it).

  • @SerbNegroMonte with your smart alack remarks you seem like the ideal Christian that everyone should listen too. I am a Catholic (ROMAN) and proud of it. I will not leave. Goodbye.

  • @willthacheerleader18 And you should be proud, and you should not leave. Catholic church same as Orthodox belongs to Christ and you are my brother. However we cannot allow our Church to be run by evil.

  • @willthacheerleader18

I still preffer Orthodoxy and byzantine traditions...

  • @Loiginer byzantine is still part of the roman catholic church..

  • @willthacheerleader18

Not in plenty, I become Orthodox and before I was Melkyte...

  • @Loiginer yes it is, as is melkite. they are in full communion with the holy see, and therefore part of the Roman Catholic Church. They just aren't Latin Rite, they are Eastern Rite. Which Orthodox are you? Eastern or Oriental?

  • @willthacheerleader18

Well, but because they have abandomned Orthodoxy that Rome have byzantine costums, and also, they are not so byzantine, many latin tradicions are with their and this is ugly...

I am Orthodox, just it, Russian jurisdistion

  • @Loiginer no.. byzantine catholic church was never orthodox, it is catholic. Byzantine, Ukranian, Greek, Melkite, etc are all part of the Holy See. This is not ugly. Why? because you have anger towards Rome? that does not make their hymns ugly. they are beautiful.

So you're Russian Orthodox, that's Eastern.

  • @willthacheerleader18 there is no faiths, its christianity or bust.

  • @coristadedios there are many different 'faiths' within christianity. not different religions, but different faiths certainly. most fall under categories of denominations ie Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, New Age, and Mormon (which within themselves have many of their own denominations). The "Catholic Faith" is a faith practiced by Roman Catholics, Eastern Catholics, Anglicans, Orthodox, Lutherans,

  • @willthacheerleader18 You're wrong. The Orthodox Church is the most beautiful and peaceful of all Christianity. Catholics come from Orthodoxy. Orthodox are also the oldest Christian denomination. You believe in filioque. That's the only thing that;s different between Catholics and Orthodox, and another thing is that your Bible has fewer books, you took out some books from the Bible. That's not so good, but still it's better than the Protestants who took twice as many books out of the Bible.

  • @AndyMKordo um sorry, I was stating my personal opinon. According to history books, the church was Catholic. It was even called Catholic before "orthodox" (St. Ignatius of Antioch himself used the term, and he was a follower of the Apostle John). The church was one, and then it split. Why? Mainly because of Papal authority... hm.. Pope.. that's Catholic. The Orthodox (Orthodox Catholic Church, as is its real name) is and was Catholic. We did not take books out. Sorry.

  • @willthacheerleader18 The official name of the Orthodox Church is: One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. Yes Catholic , because it is from Greek. (it means Universal in Greek). The Orthodox Church remained the same as it used to be in Ancient times. The Roman-Catholic Church took books out from the Bible (ex: Psalm 151, 3 and 4 Maccabees and 1 Esdras) . Orthodox believe that every priest receives the apostolic succession, Catholics believe that only the pope. And you believe in filioque.

  • @AndyMKordo I know what Catholic means, as I am a Catholic. No, the Catholics did not take those books out, they were never included in our canon. You then have the Oriental Orthodox who added even more books (like Enoch) to the bible. No, catholics believe every bishop and therefore priest has apostolic succession, otherwise they wouldnt be allowed to administer the Blessed Sacrament.

  • @willthacheerleader18 Did you forget the atrocities the popes and the Roman-Catholic Church did during the history. According to history books the Catholic church started the crusades and killed people who did not accept the teachings of the faith. Also the Catholic church steals your money (they fool you saying that if you give money to the church, the money will go to God and your sins will be forgiven, ha! what a lie!)

  • @AndyMKordo Yes, there have been bad popes. Yes the church has done bad things.. you point being? That the church is made up of sinners? Yes I know, the bible makes that very clear. That even the Pope can sin? Yes, Catholics believe that too. Protestants and Orthodox have killed many as well.. that doesnt make their churches any less "beautiful". I was talkinga bout the hymns for Christ's sake. Indulgences? Really? that was somethin done in the 1500s hun. A bit late on that.

  • @AndyMKordo your ego is showing your need for recognition that you are intelligent and able to make critical l analysis of history instead why not do something important words are cheap

  • @willthacheerleader18 Watch this also friend, youtube.com/watch?v=PEHJY0T9RsQ&feature=related

  • @willthacheerleader18 The ONLY Christian faith. Pope Pius XI calls other denominations 'false' Christians in Mortalium Animos. Catholicism is not one among many but the only Church founded by Christ. All others are man-made heresies.

  • @ASignOfContradiction that is not true. it is the most complete of the Christian faiths. His Holiness has himself recognized this, and refers to protestants and orthodox as Christian bretheren as well. True, the Catholic Church is the only Bride and True Church, and many denominations came out of heresies, but the Church still sees those others as Christians.

  • @willthacheerleader18 See other comments below. Pius XI in Mortalium Animos states INFALLIBLY that ALL those who have separated from the Catholic Church are "pan-christians" and "False Christians". Read it yourself. A comment by a pope is nothing but opinion UNLESS used infallibly, such as by Pius XI. Otherwise it was unnecessary for Christ to found ONE Church. He could have saved us a lot of drama by saying form separate groups and do and believe your own thing. But he didnt.

  • @ASignOfContradiction He did say that, in that they are not complete Christians. But they are not damned, or unChristian because of it. If you chose not to listen to the Holy Father today, then that is your decision.

  • @willthacheerleader18 Where did I claim that non-Catholic Christians are damned? How could I pontificate on the unknown? I worry about my own salvation. What I do believe is that without full acess to all the sacraments, especially the Eucharist, then its tough to be saved. Not impossible, tough. Its like running a marathon with a poor diet, no shoes and muddy water. Not impossible, but very very tough. Rather than give the false belief that their sect is approved, i choose to summon home.

  • @ASignOfContradiction - Incorrect doctrine, sorry...Christ reached out to me, a sinner, of Protestant faith, after I left home...my parents weren't Christians and not Catholic by name.

I have been 'saved' for over 35 years, yet, it is a daily walk with Him...ups and downs...

The Catholic Church is not the answer, Christ is!...ur last statement about heresies, is what brought on the Inquisition...is that what you want again? Christ never lifted His Hand to murder anyone. to be cont'd. L.

  • @ASignOfContradiction - continued...The Holy Spirit is a Gentlemen, He woos you, not forces you, to KNOW HIM...

It is not thru the rosary, or praying to Mary that gets one close to God...in fact, we are told by the angels-see that you worship God alone, do not bow to us...that is in Scripture! Another point to add-Purgatory was created by the Catholic Church...it does not exist in Biblical Doctrine...Jesus said 'It is appointed unto men ONCE TO DIE, AND THEN, THE JUDGEMENT...No 2nd Chances. L.

  • Father, I abandon myself into your hands; do with me what you will. Whatever you may do, I thank you: I am ready for all, I accept all. Let only your will be done in me, and in all your creatures. I wish no more than this, O Lord. Into your hands I commend my soul; I offer it to you with all the love of my heart, for I love you, Lord, and so need to give myself, to surrender myself into your hands, without reserve, and with boundless confidence, for you are my Father.
  • @tommerrigan1956 Tres belle prière je la connais aussi ; les paroles sont tout simplement magnifiques et très fortes!!!!

  • @oks125: Now THAT is what I'm saying!!!!!

  • I'm glad that your priest is ok with polyphony in the Latin Mass. Some priests think that Gregorian Chant should dominate it. Nothing wrong with Gregorian Chant, but to me, and this is just me, there's no music like well performed sacred polyphony that can almost instantly put my mind in the right place. I believe that God has used sacred polyphony to help me in my conversion to the Catholic faith.

  • As an a capella singer and harmony fanatic I give this fine effort 5 stars for holding pitch and proving the power of practiced voices can have a reverent place in Christ's Mass. Now, to get our small choir to practice this lost art and praise HIS glory through song.

  • Too bad there aren’t any stars to give anymore ...

  • and I thought nothing Catholic could match the great Mystical Orthodox Chanting! I wouldn't call this mystical, more like... angelic perhaps? beautiful, just...beautiful! I wish to hear that music when I die!

  • Say what you want about the Catholic Church, they do Mass right.

  • What a beautiful church. Glory To God In The Highest. May his blessings be upon us all.

  • @AzerChristians Please...we've all fallen short of the glory of God. And with regard to the instance(s) you mentioned, The Lord has told us that "it would be better for that man if a millstone were tied about his neck and he thrown into the sea." But this is neither the time, nor the place, nor the manner to bring up the subject. This is a quiet place, a place where lost souls can come and listen, and be still, and know that He is God, and fall upon his mercy. Read Ephesians 5.2-4

  • @sambalamification This place you are talking about has LONG ago been used by Anti-Christ to (1) Fuck boys (2) Smuggle Nazi war criminals to South America (3) Plotting and killing critics of Catholic Church by inquisitions (4) Assisting whoever that can kill Jews (5) Protecting pedophiles by providing "Diplomatic Immunity" and shuffling them around the world (6) Conceal all evidence that GOD never chose Catholics to interpret the Bible for God (7) Lie to all the world that Satan isn't within it.

  • @AzerChristians Please don't spam us with your anti-Catholic vitriol. What will you do if you get to Heaven and there's a countless multitude of Catholics there? I bet you'd feel pretty embarrassed, to say the least.

    ADOREMUS IN AETERNUM SANCTISSIMUM SACRAMENTUM!

  • @LouisvilleTorn8o LOLOL... your premises is that 'HEAVEN' is where Catholic gathered?? LOLOLOL...(1) SUCH a place is NOT called Heaven, it is called VATICAN !! LOL.....where all the pedophile priests gathered and protected by the POPE... BOY FUCKING is ALL YOU DO !!! LOLOLOLOLOL

    (2) Unless I also do boy fucking as good as a Catholic Priest, then I won't be going to the kind of "HEAVEN" YOU Catholics are going !! DumbFUCK !! LOL

    (3) Practice your Satan-worshipping LATIN, u'll need it in HELL. LOL

  • @AzerChristians Please read Proverbs 6:19 in the context of verses 16-19, and think about it for a while. God detests those who go around spreading lies and discord. I'm assuming by your username that you're a Christian...You should start acting like one...

And concerning your comments about my 'Satan-worshiping Latin,' did you see the word 'Satan' in anything I said in Latin? You didn't, because it's simply not there.

  • @LouisvilleTorn8o God detests EVEN MORE THOSE who pretend to serve GOD and yet FUCK boys in the HOUSE of Worship, i.e. your Catholic Church !! LOL. If you continue to speak for Catholics, then you are really a Satan Helper !

You are WORSE THAN BLIND who still want to see, but yet you got eyes and DON'T want to see the boy-fucking in Catholic Church, the Purity Bricks selling to deceive faithfuls, the money LAUNDERING by Vatican, the NAZI smuggling & Jews hating propagation for CENTURIES! SATAN!

  • @AzerChristians Where is your proof that the Vatican is involved in criminal activities? Read the Catechism!

  • If you do not break out in goosebumps, you ain't human. I agree totally with cks et al...

  • For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all false gods. Psalms 96:4 (KJV)

For thy word's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all these great things, to make thy servant know them. Wherefore thou art great, O LORD God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. 2 Samuel 7:22 (KJV)

  • Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. Matthew 15:14 (KJV)

  • POPE ST PIUS V: "The Pope and God are the same, so he has all power in Heaven and earth."Barclay, Chapter XXVII, p. 218, "Cities Petrus Bertanous". Cardinal Cusa supports this statement.

These words are written in the Roman Canon Law 1685: "To believe that our Lord God the Pope has not the power to decree as he is decreed, is to be deemed heretical."

  • @Dwrancho144 "The Pope and God are the same, so he has all power in Heaven and earth."

Post the original text in Latin, please. I want to see the original, not an anti-Catholic, and probably false interpretation of it. Then we'll talk...

  • Villiam Byrd

  • is this that fairly recently composed kyrie by that ukranian composer (name escapes me)?

  • @coolerking04 They've written William Byrd in the tags

  • @coolerking04 Yes, its William Byrd. Beautiful music.

  • This almost sounds Orthodox! It's quite obvious that the church is Catholic- An Orthodox Church and a Catholic church are easily distinguishable when you know what to look for, ya know? Especially to an Orthodox person like me...

  • out of tune....not trying to hate though!

  • Thank you for this beautiful song nourishment of our souls.

May Lord Jesus Christ bless you and your family.

Can you please spread the devotion to Divine Mercy Prayer at 15:00 hrs, because it is a prayer for end of times and it is a prayer as a last hope of salvation to even the most hardened sinner.

It is a promise of Our Lord Jesus to Saint Faustina and to Stanley Villavincencio who is still alive and he is spreading this devotion. Let everybody pray this prayer Divine Mercy chaplet.

  • I've done this score.

  • Registrazione pessima!

  • Check out the MASTERPIECE of Holy Trinity Church, Orlando, Fl. John Filippakis is the Iconographer. Type in Iconographymosaics and it is under move 1 ( movie 1).........

  • Supremest form of Worship

  • i second that, it is such a shame it was taken away from us at Vatican 2 and replaced with the heretical Novus Ordo Missae... Now you are lucky if you can find this. The Byzantine Divine Liturgy is also very reverend where I attend, but I wish vatican 2 never happened.

  • I do not also like Vatican II... The original Novus Ordo wasn't too bad though..

It was just a slightly different order of the Latin mass.... Some of the prayers were changed but it was still in Latin and very reverent..

Still... even after Vatican II, it has made the traditional Catholics stronger..

  • Vatican II was wonderful, its liturgical reforms were disasterous though.

  • I hear Vatican III will star Tom Hanks and that dude from Rushmore.

  • screenplay by Dan Brown... ;-)

  • which church is this it looks so beautiful

  • Brought back memories of a sacred church and mass.

  • Beautiful!

  • Now why would anyone want guitars and clown masses when you could have this!!!

  • I could not agree more! God bless his Catholic church!

  • I hate vatican 2! It has brought more abuses into the Mass than anything. I never want to attend another English Mass. If I see another happy clappy Mass im walking out of the Church! (not the catholic church in general lol) as the origins of the Latin Mass are there!lol

  • Comment removed

  • Have you seen the abuses to the New Mass??? Heartbreaking. At the last supper, it was a very solemn moment...it is re-inacting in the sense that Our Lords most sacred body and precious blood becomes present on the altar, not a symbolism. Were the apostles, (MEN, and the first BISHOPS and PRIESTS) ...see the connection between the words in block capitals for any feminists who want to be priests, were given the power by Christ, and from Christ to celebrate Mass. It was a sad moment for them!

  • @HolyMotherofGrid "Pentecostal train-wreck of a circus service" I'm not sure whom you are referring to, whether it is our evangelical brothers and sisters, or to our Charismatic Catholic brothers and sisters. I will say that sometimes when people are filled with the Holy Spirit they appear as if they were drunk!! Acts 2:13

Personally I do get a bit freaked out when I see this type of manifestation of the Holy Spirit. during mass. It is not something I feel comfortable with.

  • @HolyMotherofGrid Lets not discourage others who love God, just because they express their love in a more charismatic way. Discouraging others is not the Christian way. All love for God is good, and only God should be the judge of this. As a Roman Catholic myself, I love and adore the tradition of the church as much as anyone; but I do not like to see others putting any other faith down, when, we all are still loved by the same Father above.

  • @sungmoon1987 You are completely correct. I do believe that there should be order, reverence and respect in a service of divine worship, but the post which you referred to, which i have just removed, was disrespectful to those who prefer to express their Love of God in a way different from what i think is "proper" - so i was in fact being hypocritical, since by disrespecting them i was not showing God's love at all. Thank you!!

  • He does, more that we could ever imagine.

  • @cks125

    You are so right!

In baculo cruce et in virga Virgine.

  • @cks125 This music truly is beautiful. These days I'm learning about comparisons and judgments. Do you need to put down other types of masses in order to prop up this type of mass? Is the comparison of the superiority of this mass vs. what you call clown masses necessary in order for you to express how much you appreciate this type of music and mass?

  • @alvc22 I love the Latin EF Mass and sacred polyphony too, but the Novus Ordo AKA the Ordinary Form (OF) is great when it's celebrated properly. Have you seen any of the OF Masses on EWTN? Even if their Masses are in English, they still chant the Credo and other parts of the Mass in Latin. I've also attended one Latin OF Mass, and I've heard part of another on TV. The OF is fine, but some wolves in sheep's clothing abuse it and give it a bad name.

  • @cks125 because guitars are cool :)

not sure what a clown mass is though, sounds weird

  • @cks125 That is truth. This is the real spirituality to god. I am orthodox and i blessed God that we haven´t god gitars and another funny equipments in church. It is more lowly and you feel more gods blessing :) +

  • It's more natural, I agree, guitars and musical instruments don't have a heart.

  • @cks125 Well, the guitar isn't so bad, but not nearly as beautiful as this but "clown masses" is repugnant to me...

  • @cks125 Hear, hear! I don't stand it either. I hate the stupid music played at novus ordo masses. You'll usually see female "altar servers", too. Liberal dipshit parishes are the culprits.

  • How beautiful. Makes me happy to say I'm Catholic.

  • TOTALLY AGREE!

  • The Churches of Christ the Holy Lamb why does this Holocaust of Comdemnation continue when it is your Father's Wiash to fight against such atrocities? Fight for what IS just not what you beileve is.

  • you can't compare it with an orthodox mass.you can check for the same title in orthodox..even the kirie eleison is greek.can u understand what is mean?

  • all these sick people coughing messed up the recording.

  • Welcome to michigan, everyones always sick.

  • hahaha

  • Completly agree with you.

  • Rogermoore27

  • Greek Orthodox hymns are really the best you can get! Theyre amazingly sung and theyre just so beautiful! Christos Anesti!

  • Beautiful.

  • Amazing!

I wish they would do this more.

  • this is beautiful

  • William Byrd! It's amazing to hear it on this website. Thank you for posting.

  • This is very inspiring and soothing.

Lord have mercy on us and save us from hell. Amen.

    Thanks for shring.

    Welldone and God bless †

  • Outdoor mass might be suited for 10,000 voices but not with these ideal acoustic's.

  • Just 4 voices. Wow i must tell you this really exposes the best natural tone i have ever heard. I think generally this type of early music suits 4 voices . A full choir can generally hide a few suspect singers not in the same quality.I would much prefer to listen to 4 voices than 40. You appreciate the music more and more importantly the singers.

  • When it says "4 voices" it does not mean 4 people singing...it means that it uses 4 musical voices, or melodies, constructed together to form a contrapuntal unity. 10,000 people can sing this piece and it is still, technically, every bit as much of a "4 voices" piece than if 4 people sang it.

  • Such a nice piece of music and sound generated by these singers. Preferably lessor voices singing than 10,000 singing this piece is ideal in these ecustic's. (You would just get loud noise of voices otherwise )

  • Please. "Mass for 4 voices" doesn't mean Mass for 4 singers!

  • Copy that, I was always under the impression of one of each.

  • I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. I play the piano and organ. In Evangelical Lutheran Worship, we have several variations of Kyrie in the Service Music section. Just thought I'd share.

  • I am ELCA Lutheran, too. It seems when I was a kid we sang the Greek. Now, it is almost always "Lord have mercy" instead of "Kyrie Eleison." I wish we sang the Greek more often, but I suppose that is the cost of "contemporizing."

  • What a beautiful Church! The choir adds to the beauty and solemnity.

  • love the reverb you get when singing in a church

  • beautiful! i tried to sing with it but its completely different than the one were singing in my chorus class! and the one were singing is a capella!

  • how old are these people.....were snging this in our 8th grade choir

  • theres several different versions. We're doing one as well in our IB choral

  • That's demanding. I hope that most of you aren't people who just took music for fun. Beause that's what it is in our program and our singers suck!

  • You have a really good male alto.

Isn't the baptismal font for the crying baby? Or the tabernacle?

  • That is not a baptismal font in front of the tabernacle. It is the kneeler for the bishop who sang this high Easter Sunday Mass. The choir director is the alto voice who also sings tenor and bass.

  • Nice video! I didn't know anyone was recording.

    I was singing bass:-)

  • This is the music of William Byrd - his Mass for four voices. We only have the traditional Latin Mass at the church I attend, and the music of the Renaissance masters is sung once a month for the Missa Cantata. We sang the Mass for 5 voices, the gradual from the plainsong and the motet O Sacrum Convivium by Farrant during the peoples communion. The Latin Mass thanks to the Society of Saint Pius X is alive and well.

  • I think this is giovanni...I could be wrong though. It sounds like a form my choir sang and that was by Giovanni. But, this is so beautiful.

  • that is moveing and soft to the ears, yet deep resounding the way you have to think on the word when it is sounded for that long

  • wonderfull,is it thomas luigi de victoria or giovanni luigi of palestrina.the sorrow, the tears wich catch you thinking at today world of secularism,of lost identity..
