Also i would never defend anything British in the 2nd world war because i'm not British and i think the British Officers in WW2 were 80 percent Crap 20 percent Brilliant. I'd take a German Division over a Japanese Division any day. Jungle or no jungle it wouldnt be close.

You probably know this, but many people also don't realize how much of the German supply line was occupied by Horses. Not enough Wehrmacht heavy trucks and rail lines that were incompatible with German rail equipment.

As you can imagine, using horses is more suitable for Napoleon's time, not for blitzreig type ops.

Es geht mir einfach darum, das wir aufhören sollten diese Männer zu krimimalisieren.Ich habe bei der NVA gedient, da hätte keiner nach dem Sinn eines Befehls gefragt. Da gab es keine " Totalverweigerung ", das hieß dann Knast. Die Devise war einfach friß oder stirb- ohne Alternative. Die Jungs mußten hin, ob sie wollten oder nicht. Ihre Alternative war Wehrdienstverweigerung und KZ oder Standgericht. Es gilt nicht dem Krieg ein Denkmal zu setzen, sondern seinen Toten.

Nun fangt nicht wieder mit dem Thema Holocaust an.. Es geht einfach um unsere deutschen Kameraden, um unsere Väter und Großväter die im Felde geblieben sind und ganz normale Jungs waren. Der größte Teil waren nicht diese Monster, für die sie immer gerne hingestellt werden. Meinen Großvater hat keiner gefragt, ob er in Stalingrad verrecken will. Es waren Kameraden - und auf ihre Art Helden. Bald gibt es keinen mehr den wir fragen können, wie es wirklich war.

Und ich bin stolz auf die Leistung des deutschen Soldaten - aber bitte nicht auf diverse Greueltaten. Im übrigen gab es die auf beiden Seiten, ich sage nur Kathyn oder Nemmersdorf - so als Beispiel.
